CDS Syllabus 2023: Know Subject Wise
CDS, or the Combined Defence Services examination, is a highly competitive exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year. The exam is aimed at recruiting officers for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA).
The syllabus for the CDS exam is designed to test the candidates' knowledge in English, General Knowledge, and Mathematics. The exam is divided into two parts: Written Examination and Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test. The written exam consists of three papers:

The written exam is followed by an Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test. This test is aimed at assessing the candidates' overall personality, including their leadership qualities, social traits, and mental and physical robustness.
In addition to the above subjects, candidates applying for the Air Force Academy must also have knowledge of Physics and Chemistry, while those applying for the Naval Academy must have knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
To prepare for the CDS exam, candidates must have a thorough understanding of the syllabus and study materials. They can refer to textbooks, previous year question papers, and online resources to improve their knowledge and skills.
