Mr. Blersch is a graduate of Oberlin College of Music in organ performance and music education and received his Doctor of Musical Arts in Organ Performance from the University of Michigan. Blersch also composes hymns, four of which are included in the Lutheran Service Book.

Billed as making magical music together, this husband-and-wife duo are equally known for their individual artistry.
Mr. Hey thrilled our audience here in February 2023 and promised to return with his wife in the future. That promise will be fulfilled in 2025. Described as “scintillating and tremendously virtuosic”, organist Michael T. C. Hey is known for performing throughout the world. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Hey was recently appointed Director of Music at the prestigious Marble Collegiate Church in New York City. He previously served as associate music director at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
Classically trained violinist Christiana Liberis is a performer of international renown. She has captivated audiences with a wide variety of music from a classical repertoire to postmodern and popular idioms. Liberis performs solo recitals as well as joining chamber groups, orchestras, or touring the country with various pop-star legends.

Songs of America, a signature repertoire for True Concord, includes African-American Spirituals arranged by Moses Hogan and William Grant Still, folk songs by Stephen Foster, including Beautiful Dreamer and Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair and music of the Sonoran Desert.
Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior is honored to be the host venue inaugurating the 20th Anniversary Season of True Concord featuring the True Concord Choir. Folk songs, spirituals, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning work by Native American, Raven Chacon, titled Voiceless Mass will be performed on our Holtkamp Organ as well as the premier of the winner of the Stephen Paulus Emerging Composers Competition setting new poetry to music.

This national award-winning Mariachi group from Pueblo Magnet School in Tucson consists of students aged 14 to 18. Founded in 1992 with eleven students, the program has now grown to over 130. The students are offered three levels of Mariachi music: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Performing.
Those in the performing group must audition and, if accepted, maintain a high level of academic achievement to remain on the “First Team.” The extensive practices and performances consume most of their free time.
Dressed in elaborate traje de charro outfits, the group boasts a repertoire of traditional Mariachi music showing pride and dedication to the cultural heritage of Mexico.

One of the most sought after concert organists in the world. Felix Hell has been featured as a recitalist and concerto soloist in more than 1000 concerts across the globe.
A native of Germany, it has been said that Mr. Hell, “sets standards that older and honored players would struggle to equal.” Mr. Hell has studied at the Juilliard School in NYC, the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, the Peabody Institute in Baltimore plus receiving the prestigious Outstanding Graduate Award from Johns Hopkins University.
Felix Hell is known for his diverse and innovative programming, drawing upon a repertoire encompassing five centuries. Furthermore, he has received global recognition for his marathon performances of the entire organ works of J.S. Bach, which encompass about 250 compositions and close to 20 hours of performance time.
