In our Who We Are unit, the children took a deep dive into what makes them special by creating ‘All About Me’ bags. These were filled with items that reflected their interests and personalities, and they proudly explainedtheirchoicesinvideossharedwiththeirclassmatesandfamilies.
During Sharing the Planet, our budding conservationists became National Geographic-style presenters! They shared what they’d learned about habitats, micro-habitats, and food chains through detailed texts andanimpressiveHabitatExhibition.Wealsoenjoyedahands-onlearningexperienceatAlMazaaraFarm, exploringorganicfarmingandplantingseeds.

The How We Express Ourselves unit brought out the artist in everyone! Inspired by famous artists like Kandinsky, Picasso, and Rothko, the students created their own masterpieces. We wrapped it up with a vibrant Grade 1 Community Carnival, where we shared our art, sang songs we’d learned throughout the year, andhadloadsoffunwithourfamilies.

As Learning and Teaching Lead for Grade 3, it's been an incredible year watching our students grow into curious, confident learners. They have shown they are true inquirers by asking thoughtful questions, making meaningful connections across subject areas, and taking action basedonwhatthey'velearned.Whetheritwasexploringtherolespeopleplayinourcommunity or investigating how living things adapt to their environment, their enthusiasm has been inspiring.
Some of my favourite moments this year have been our field trips, which brought our Units of Inquiry to life. At KidZania, students explored different roles and responsibilities in a hands-on way. Our visit to Pizza Express helped them understand the processes behind how things are made, and the trip to the Falcon Hospital opened their eyes to global conservation efforts and theimpacthumanshaveonlivingthings.
Throughout the year, students have consistently demonstrated growth in their Learner Profile attributes, showing courage as risk-takers, thoughtfulness as caring individuals, and reflection as they evaluated their own learning and next steps. Their collaboration and communication skills have blossomed, and they’ve developed a strong sense of responsibility both in the classroomandbeyond.

Grade 4 is a special year where students grow up tremendously. They start to think deeper about who they are as individuals, and collectively, as they advance to the upper end of Primary. During this time, they really showcase their learnerprofileattributes.
Theybecomedeeperinquirers, askingquestionsandexploringnewideaswithcuriosity.Ascommunicators, theyexpress their thoughts and share their ideas confidently with classmates and their opinions become deeply rooted and justified. Students develop their reflective skills, thinking about what they’ve learned and how they can improve. They build upon their open-mindedness, appreciating different perspectives and cultures. In our innovation unit, guided by the central idea "Challenging existing knowledge leads to new innovation," students explored how ideas evolve and improve over time. With a science lens focused on different types of energy, they investigated how innovation is driven by curiosity and experimentation. A highlight of the unit was our exciting trip to StuDIYo Lab, where students engaged in hands-on challenges and creative thinking, putting their understanding of energytothetest.Thisunitsparkedinquiry,risk-taking,andadeeperappreciationforhowinnovationshapesourworld.
Personal growth, being independent and taking personal responsibility have been huge focuses this year. These attributes shone bright throughout the PYP Exhibition process. Whether excelling in academics, taking risks, leading school-wide initiatives, or simply learning to believe in themselves, Grade 5 students have found meaningful ways to shine, both big and small. Many have shown great leadership in sports, music, art and classroom responsibilities, while othershavecelebratedsuccesseslikemasteringnewskillsorbuildinglastingfriendships.

Thisacademicyearhasbeenavibranttapestryoflearning, growth, andmeaningfulconnectionsfor our Diploma Programme (DP) students. From the very beginning, our focus has been on nurturing not just academic excellence but the holistic development of each student as a global citizen and lifelong learner. The journey began with the DP Induction Day—an energising start filled with teambuilding and exploration of the Core elements: TOK, EE, and CAS. It was a day of bonding, purposesetting, and discovering what it means to be part of a community committed to excellence, empathy, andinternationalmindedness.
Our commitment to strong partnerships with families was reflected in the success of the DP ExperienceEvenings.Theseeventsgaveparentsandstudentsinsightintotheintellectualrigourand inquiry-driven nature of the programme, through interactive lessons and dialogue with teachers. This was followed by the DP Course Selection Evening, where Grade 10 students, supported by their peers and school leadership, made informed decisions about their subject pathways—showcasing theleadershipandmaturityofourstudents.

As the pioneers of our first IB Diploma Programme, our students did not just walk the path; they paved it. They’ve exemplified what resilience truly looks like, demonstrating how a growth mindset has helped them rise above challenges. Whether navigating unfamiliar academic territory, tough assessments, or rigorous coursework, their ability to persevere has been inspiring. Balancing academics, well-being, and life outside school is not easy for anyone, but our students have manageditwithdeterminationandstrengthofcharacter.
