Support Ripon Fireworks!! The Ripon Chamber of Commerce and The City of Ripon are preparing for another AWESOME firework show for this years 4th of July Celebration. To make this possible, we need to raise $30,000. To date we have a little under $15,000, so we are almost half way there. This is a popular Community event that we want to continue to provide. Help us reach our goal by sending a check made payable to: The City of Ripon Firework Fund 259 N. Wilma Ave. Ripon, Ca. 95366 Or to donate online go to: Ripon4thofjuly.com Also, beginning Saturday June 30th, is the return of Community Appreciation Days. This event is designed to draw the public into businesses on a daily basis to receive discounts or give- a-ways from participating businesses. The committee has pre-determined the groups to honor on specific days. Each participating business will be given a poster to display in their front window to let the public know they are part of this event. Use your imagination to make this event benefit your business in the best way possible! Wednesday, July 4th, the Ripon Chamber of Commerce and the Fireworks Committee will be hosting an old fashioned 4th of July parade and fireworks display in downtown Ripon to wrap up this event honoring the community of Ripon. Participating businesses will be included in all of the advertising; Ripon Chamber Newsletter, Ripon Record, Manteca Bulletin and posters displayed in business windows through out town.

President’s Message Dear Members, I am totally jazzed at the wonderful turnout for our first of many more Membership Luncheons to come. With “71” on our guest list, a beautiful venue, yummy lunch, and an excellent motivational speaker, I personally think our luncheon was a huge success. One of my goals for this year is now “off my bucket list”! Thank you to all who attended. I hope you enjoyed yourself and learned something. Two events will be on deck in July. Our first is in cooperation with the Citizen’s Committee to host another “spectacular” 4th of July. It will officially start on Saturday, June 30th with participating businesses featuring “Kids Day”. Sunday we hope all citizens take time to attend our local churches as they honor our Vets for their service to our Country. Monday kicks off specials for seniors and Tuesday is in honor of our local Citizens.. We will have tours of our Fire Department, Police Department and City Hall. The “big” day of Wednesday the 4th will kick off with a number of events at Ripon Elementary School, vendors, hometown parade, stage with live local entertainment, and of course the fireworks display. Come see what Ripon is all about! I like to call it “Hometown U.S.A.”! Our second event in July will be our Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet. We will honor our Policeman of the Year, our Fireman of the Year, and our Educators of the Year (both Ripon Unified and RC) along with the installation of our own officers for 2012-2013. It is a special night honoring those who serve and a must attend. It will be July 22nd at Spring Creek CC. Cost of the dinner is $30. Would love to see you there! I shared a little of this last month letting you know that this will be my “final hooray” as President and stepping down from the Board. After 15 years of service to the Chamber, I am thrilled to leave this Board in the hands of some very capable and respected business professionals who care very much about our business family and community. I am particularly proud of our young entrepreneurs who have stepped up to the plate and have given our Board such a breath of fresh air. I wish this Board and the entire Chamber much success. I look forward to staying involved as a volunteer. And with that, I say “Auf Wiedersehen ”, much success, and many thanks for allowing me to serve….. Fondly with Great Respect, Marge Imfeld, President

I’ve been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, ever since I was about 17. I have had experience in bartending to catering for many parties in the bay area. Before Mario’s, I had owned another Mario’s restaurant from ’84 to ’94 which is now called Nick’s in San Leandro. After selling Mario’s I had worked along with my brothers as a Chef at Dick’s in San Leandro. I’ve been living in Lathrop for the past 4 years and commuting to work every day but in the same time I’ve been searching to establish my own family business. Dick’s was later sold, and once I saw the vacated “El Patio,” I knew what I had
