OUR FARMS Consistent Premium Product Year-Round.

FLOWER GROWERS Our farms are situated in the f inest sub-tropical growing regions of Ecuador, Colombia, and Costa Rica. The Andean mountain range has premium climatic conditions, rich volcanic soil, and optimum light intensity, providing us with year-round flower production capability.

DIVERSIFIED PRODUCTION We focus on the most popular and in-demand varieties and color assortments each year by conducting our own internal and external research. This provides us with up-todate information and identif ies future demand trends to ensure we can supply you with optimum variety availability.

BREEDER’S CUT Rio Roses utilizes a “Breeder’s Cut” on all roses to encourage a more open and full bloom, produce a more vibrant color and enhance the flower’s overall performance.

UNIQUE CUT STAGE PER VARIETY Every variety is different, and each should be cut at a different time to yield the best possible bloom for the end consumer.

MINIMUM HEAD/BUD SIZE STANDARDS Each grade and variety is measured against its ideal bud size.

FOLIAGE REMOVAL Each stem is conveniently pre-processed with 12.5 cm of foliage stripped.

EVEN STEM CUTS All stems are evenly cut at the bottom of each bunch to ensure proper hydration.

08 OUR STANDARDS

O U R STA N DA R D S In addition to inspections at the farm, the quality control specialists at our Miami distribution center check all of our incoming shipments of flowers each day to make sure that they meet our Rio standards.

BEST VALUE IN STEM LENGTH ON THE MARKET We measure the stem length without including the bloom height.

We use a two-tier bunching system and grade all of our roses using the bottom of the lower tier.

When adding the bloom height f rom the top tier, on average, an additional height of 10 cm is included.

Above is an example of our 50/55 cm bunch.
