academic project I Monastery, McLeod Ganj, Himachal pradesh
Our S4 project is to design a Monastery at McLeod Ganj,Himachal pradesh.Total plot area for the project is 1 acres.The monastery is not merely a place of residence but a sacred environment that facilitates spiritual reflection, communal living, and individual contemplation.
Densely vegetated site with undulating terrain.
The Stream
Selection of 1 acre patch of land.
A gentle,meandering stream traverses the site,its soothing sounds and tranquil presence offering a serene backdrop for a monastery,symbolizing spiritual growth,renewal, and purification in accordance with Buddhist philosophy.
Process
Green site with existing stream.
Stepped water feature, creating a tranquil oasis ideal for meditation and contemplation.
