NEWS FROM THE RIMON ZONE A Little More of Hanukkah Around The World: In the Homeland By: Juliet Morgan There are Jews all over earth, but do we really know what they do on our most famous Holiday of Hanukkah? My previous article covered several countries. I wrote about several countries so far, but the country I probably HAVE to talk about is how Hanukkah is celebrated in Israel! In Israel, you get all eight days off! Pretty cool am I right? According to the article: “8 lit places to celebrate Hanukkah around the world” they said “Israel observes the festival of lights like nowhere else”. They have something there called “an annual Hanukkah Torch Relay”. It's when the people of Israel pass around a flame coming from the city of Modiin where the people called Maccabees once lived. So yeah, no one does the festival of lights like it’s homeland. There are many countries in the world, 445 to be exact. But no matter where you are, Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday. Hanukkah is over a thousand year tradition, and it will always be famous for one thing, being the festival of lights.

Helping the Homeless By Gabrielle Burman Today in the Helping the Homeless chug they are still trying to get the mat done and make it really big. What they are trying to make is a mattress for the homeless. The mattress is made out of plastic bags. It is made out of plastic bags because the bags collect the sunlight so it will keep the homeless warm all night long. It will collect the sunlight all day so it will be warm all night. They looked like they were having fun and enjoying themselves.
