Enjoy a continental breakfast at Registration with bagels, fruit, juice and Mocha Monkey coffee. On the course, grab a beverage on holes 1, 3, 6, 10, 11, 14, 16 & 17, including a Bloody Mary bar and Margarita bar. The following food is available: Hole #1 – Breakfast Burrito Hole #6 – Cheese & Jerky Cup Hole #10 – Hamburgers Hole #14 – Breakfast Slider What other activities can I expect?

NEW THIS YEAR: Coffee Cup golfers must turn scorecards into the Pro Shop when you are finished with your round. We invite you to join us in the ballroom for a light lunch, prizes and an announcement of winners by Fox 9 Chief Meteorologist, Ian Leonard.

Fox 9 Chief Meteorologist, Ian Leonard, is back as our program emcee, and he’ll announce the Founder’s Cup winners and start our Live Auction at 7 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m., the Silent Auction closes and items can be picked up after the program.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CEO Greetings, We are thrilled you are joining us for the 34th Annual Ridgeview Foundation Golf & Taste Celebration. Each year, we are amazed at the generosity of the many community members—like you—who come together with a common purpose of transforming health care.

This event gets better each year, thanks to your support. In fact, since our inaugural Golf & Taste Celebration in 1986, you’ve helped us raise more than $12 million to help support such initiatives as the da Vinci® Surgical System, birthing suites and Ridgeview Birthing Center equipment, the Ridgeview Women’s Imaging & Breast Center, the Minneapolis Heart Institute® at Ridgeview Heart Center, and now the new Norman and Ann Hoffman Emergency Center in Waconia.

Proceeds from this year’s event will continue to support the new Norman and Ann Hoffman Emergency Center through the purchase of three new ambulances and the completion of the second stabilization/trauma room. These improvements will further our mission of providing the very best care when our community needs it the most.

COFFEE CUP SHOTGUN We’ll start our day with the popular Coffee Cup Shotgun. After your round of golf, join us in the ballroom for the annoucement of contest winners and to enjoy food, drink and fellowship.

BRIDGE TOURNAMENT New location: The Winery at Sovereign Estate. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and the luncheon will be served at 12:15 p.m. Bridge play will begin after the luncheon.

YEARS OF MAKING A VITAL CONTRIBUTION

Golf & Taste Celebration proceeds have funded numerous capital projects, patient care equipment, health information for the community, scholarships for aspiring health care students, fetal monitors and more.

Ridgeview provides exceptional emergency care and ambulance services, supported by on-site diagnostic imaging, dedicated stabilization/trauma bays, a helicopter pad, and surgical and critical care specialists.

Proceeds from this year’s event will continue to support the renovation of Ridgeview’s Norman and Ann Hoffman Emergency Center in Waconia. Work is progressing nicely on the expansion, which will allow Ridgeview’s emergency services to remain as a premier resource in the Twin Cities.

This year, funds from the Golf & Taste Celebration will help purchase three new ambulances and assist in the completion of the second stabilization/trauma room.

Every week, premature babies are saved, elderly patients comforted, bones mended, illnesses diagnosed and lives saved thanks in part to the generous philanthropy of individuals and corporations in our caring communities. Ridgeview Foundation, incorporated in 1978, promotes philanthropy and builds relationships that support Ridgeview’s mission to enhance the health and well-being of people in the southwest-metro area.

FOUNDER’S SOCIETY This distinguished group of benefactors helps to enhance the health and well-being of the people in the communities served by Ridgeview. Founder’s Society members make individual commitments of $10,000 or greater, which can be paid at one time or through a payment program over a period of years.

There are almost 400 Founder’s Society members who cumulatively have gifted or committed more than $29 million and have nearly $5.7 million in outstanding pledges.

How to Become a Member Gifts may be made in the form of cash, publicly traded securities, appreciated property and, if appropriate, in-kind gifts. Most often, naming opportunities will exist at various levels within each campaign. Commitments can be paid over a period of years or in a one-time gift.

LIVE AUCTION AGREEMENT 1. To bid, simply raise your bid number high for the auctioneer to see. By bidding in the live auction, you agree to be bound by the terms of this auction agreement.

2. The auctioneer reserves the right to add or withdraw items to or from the auction without notice.

3. A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item if the bid is the final, winning bid. If you bid on an item and win it, you agree to pay for the item won, in full, by the end of the evening.

4. All purchases are final and there are no refunds. Further, no exchanges or substitutions are allowed unless the description of an item expressly provides for one.

No refunds will be allowed on travel packages for canceled tickets or accommodations.

5. Unless the description of an item expressly provides otherwise, all vacations and services must be claimed and used within one year of the auction date, and all vacation accommodations must be mutually agreed upon with the donor.

6. All items are sold “as is.� Ridgeview Foundation disclaims all expressed and implied warranties including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. If you purchase an item, you waive all claims for damages and liability against Ridgeview Foundation, Ridgeview Medical Center and the donor of the item, that arise or may arise, in whole or part, from the utilization of the property or services you purchased.

7. You are responsible for locating and removing your purchases from the auction premises before the end of the evening. If you purchase a service or other non-tangible item and the certificate for the item is not available at the auction, it will be mailed to you within one week of the auction.

8. Ridgeview Foundation will automatically charge your credit card unless otherwise directed by the winning bidder. Winning bidders who have registered their credit cards at registration will have their credit cards billed for their auction totals at the end of the evening.

9. Payments are tax deductible as a charitable contribution only to the extent provided by law. Generally, you may deduct as a charitable contribution the amount you pay above the fair market value of the item purchased. Please consult your tax professional.

Register Your Cell Phone at the Event: To place bids on auction items or to make a donation, register with a GiveSmart member in gray. GiveSmart staff members will be present at the event to be your “personal shopper” if you prefer not to bid via your cell phone/tablet.

2. Bid via SMARTPHONE: Click the BLUE link in your welcome text message and it will take you to your personal bidding page. Click on an item you would like to bid on. The GiveSmart smart system repopulates with the next minimum bid so all you have to do is push BID. If you’d like to go higher, just enter a new amount and push BID. To have the GiveSmart system automatically bid for you to a designated amount, please select AUTO and enter a higher amount. • Select one of four easy ways to remember Ridgeview Foundation in your estate plan and join the Legacy Society.

Four Easy Ways ... to ensure that other patients and families receive the same level of outstanding care as you or your loved one.

1. Remember Ridgeview Medical Center in your will or revocable trust.

By updating your existing will or trust to include Ridgeview Foundation through a simple codicil or amendment, you can enhance the patient experience for many patients and families.

2. Name Ridgeview Foundation as the beneficiary of a retirement account, IRA or other asset account.

Changing a beneficiary designation is one of the simplest ways in which to make a difference for the patients and families we serve.

3. Fund a charitable gift annuity, which is a life-income gift arrangement involving a simple one-page contract between you and Ridgeview Foundation.

In exchange for a gift of cash or stock, and an income-tax deduction, Ridgeview Foundation pays you and/or other beneficiaries a guaranteed income for life, after which Ridgeview Foundation receives your gift.

4. A POD (payable-on-death) or TOD (transfer-on-death) allocation

allows you to name Ridgeview Foundation or other beneficiaries on your bank or brokerage account with a simple form.
