Every gift, no matter the size, helps to increase the margin of excellence that makes transforming educational experiences possible for our students.

The gala

In most years, the School hosts a Gala, which serves as a substantial fundraising event through its live and silent auctions and paddle raise. Net proceeds are allocated to a strategic or operational purpose that is determined collaboratively by the Board, the School, and the Gala Committee. This typically allows for an extra-budgetary expense, such as the Summit Gymnasium renovation in 2023, or to support a fundraising priority, such as the Tuition Assistance Endowment in 2022.

The 2024 Gala will be held on November 2, 2024 and will celebrate the School’s 50th Anniversary.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the school’s highest-priority fundraising effort each year. It provides unrestricted, flexible funding that supports approximately 6% of the operating budget and ensures that we can: Offer competitive salaries and professional growth & development opportunities for our faculty and staff, Extend financial assistance to qualified students whose families cannot afford the full RA/LP tuition, Maintain our beautiful campuses and facilities,

Continually review and improve our echnology and security offerings, and rovide the many opportunities that make s uniquely RA/LP.

Patriot Legacy Fund

The Patriot Legacy Fund is an endowed fund that was established by the families of the Class of 2017 to provide tuition assistance to qualified students with financial need. Annually supported by Grade 8 families whose gifts are made to honor their graduates and commemorate their RA experience, this meaningful fund also continues to be augmented by alumni and their families.

The School’s fiscal year runs from July 1st through June 30th each year. Gifts made within this period will count in that year ’ s fundraising totals. Each fall, we publish a Gratitude Report that includes the donations received in the prior fiscal year and details of what they helped accomplish.

RAPA fundraising helps underwrite the Parents Association’s annual activities, including several community-building events held throughout the year and a significant portion of the Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week offerings. RAPA occasionally will invest in specific projects around campus, as well, such as improving the Summit Garden and making the OCC Patio a welcoming space for teachers and staff.
