Moving & Packing Tips

UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS

Ordering things to campus? Make sure your shipping info is set to your campus address —especially for Amazon, food delivery, and shopping apps.

START PACKING EARLY

Get a head start by boxing up items you won’t need for the rest of summer—like winter clothes, school supplies, and extra linens. Use storage bins or moving boxes to keep it organized.

PACK A “FIRST NIGHT” BAG

Have a separate bag with essentials like sheets and pillow; change of clothes; toiletries; and phone charger. You’ll want quick access to these items before you’re fully unpacked.

SHIPPING & STORAGE HELP

You can’t ship items to Rider ahead of time for in-room delivery—but you can use Storage Squad , our preferred vendor for shipping and storage. They’ll hold and deliver your items for move-in.

NEED A MICROFRIDGE?

Rider partners with Roomie for MicroFridge rentals (a microwave + fridge combo).

» Personal microwaves and non-Energy Star fridges are not allowed.

» Roomie will deliver your unit before move-in.

Rent your unit at roomie . com/rider
