Applicants must successfully complete 16 academic units in a college- preparatory (CP) curriculum while in high school. Minimum requirements include:
» English: Four years
» Mathematics: Three to four years*
» Remaining units (humanities, foreign language, mathematics, social sciences, science): 9 units
* Applicants applying with a chosen major in the School of Science, Technology, and Mathematics must take four years of mathematics (pre-calculus is preferred as a fourth year of math, however higher level math courses may be considered as long as they are above the required Algebra I, II, and Geometry and at least three years of science curriculum.)

Rider offers college credit to students based on Dual Enrollment, International Baccalaureate (IB) coursework and the results of the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) examinations. Learn more about Rider’s policies at rider.edu/college-credit
Rider University is a Test Optional Institution . SAT/ACT scores are not required for admission and most scholarships at Rider. If you are not applying as a “Test Optional” applicant, submit* official scores via College Board for all tests taken:

* Scores uploaded by the student will not be accepted as official.
Superscoring: Rider will use only your best scores from each section; for the SAT & ACT, this may be components from different testing dates.

Applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Scholarships are typically awarded based on a comprehensive review of the student’s academic record, including cumulative high school GPA, rigor of academic course selection, test scores (optional) and auditions (if applicable), and other supporting credentials. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be submitted every to obtain Financial Aid. Filing by Rider University’s priority deadline, February 1, 2026, maximizes your eligibility for financial aid. Rider’s federal school code is 002628 . The Common Application opens in August and is available at rider.edu/how-to-apply
Applications can be submitted on a rolling admissions basis and can take 4-6 weeks to be reviewed once all materials are submitted in the Be-A-Bronc Applicant Dashboard. The application includes: the Common Application, essay, official high school transcript, test scores unless applying test optional, and a letter of recommendation.*
