Rider is test optional for nearly all applicants so the application can highlight a students’ strengths, not scores.

Am I a first-year or transfer student? If you are a graduating or recently-graduated high school senior who has not attended a different college after getting your diploma, you are a first-year student. Otherwise, you’ll apply as a transfer student.

Are you a high achiever? First-year students with a 4.0 GPA and 1300+ SAT/28+ ACT score may be eligible to receive the maximum merit-based scholarship offer of $25,000. You must submit your SAT/ACTs to Rider in order to qualify for only this award level.

We guarantee that Rider graduates will gain an entry-level position or acceptance into a graduate or professional program in their field of study within six months of graduation or we’ll provide career coaching and may recommend either nine additional credits of coursework in your field of study at no cost or a paid six-month internship.*
