It’s the day before Christmas and the butcher is just locking up when a man pounds on the door. “Please let me in,” says the man, “I forgot to buy a turkey and my wife will kill me if I don’t come home with one.” “Okay,” says the butcher. “Let me see what’s left.” He goes into the freezer and discovers that there’s only one scrawny turkey left. He brings it out to show the man. “That one’s too skinny. What else have you got”? says the man. The butcher takes the bird back into the freezer and waits a few minutes then brings the same turkey back out to the man. “Oh no,” says the man, “that one doesn’t look any better. You better give me both of them.”

In Flanders Fields

By John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.

Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw

We are the Dead. Short days ago

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

If ye break faith with us who die

Loved and were loved, and now we lie,

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

KOOL TOYS for “KIDS” from 1 to 92 November is here and everyone is probably busy making plans for the following month. You know, when the big jolly guy comes to visit? Things are going to be so different this time around, children will be wondering how he is going to be able to visit everyone around the world and still be safe? As a parent it will be a challenge to help your child understand that even though he lives in seclusion up in the North Pole, they too must do everything to be safe. From wearing a mask to staying apart from each other and sanitizing everything in their toy factory!

ceived a new shipment from Breyer that has a wonderful selection of horses for your special person. Our Playmobil Advent calendars are out for you to help your child count down to the big day! Starting with our 1-2-3 for young children age 1 ½ and up, with others starting at 4+ up to our new 8+ Novelmore calendar that has Knights and a dragon to play with. We can help you find the perfect gift to make this holiday great!

It’s the time of year when we honor our Veteran’s, (we should do this throughout the year). This November Remembrance Day gatherings will be quite different, however we can still take a moment to personally reflect on what Veterans did for us and our country. The way this pandemic has taken a lot of our seniors, we should cherish the ones who are still with us. People have begun their Christmas shopping a little earlier this year and it’s going strong and steady in our store! We still have lots to choose from for your gift giving needs, so no need to panic if you haven’t started yet. We just recently received a new shipment from Playmobil for the child who likes to play with construction toys. Starting with a Scaffolding that comes with 3 workers right up to a Cable Excavator (prices range from $26.99 to $134.99). If there’s a horse lover in your family, we have also recently re-
