To my friends and family and all who knew and loved my precious mother, Mrs. Ruth T. Giles:
My heartfelt thanks for your kind calls of condolence and thoughtful expressions of love and concern, including cards, care packages, bereavement gifts, flowers and living plants. Your generous charitable donations toward the "Ruth T. Giles Memorial Scholarship Fund" for future teachers continue to be warmly appreciated, as are your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for paying your respects to my mother, whether in person, via Zoom or through viewing the recorded "Celebration of Life for RuthT. Giles" on YouTube. And if you traveled to the service, whether from far or near, I sincerely thank you.
And to those who wrote letters of love for Mom's memorial program booklet, the depth of my appreciation cannot be measured. I feel healing comfort and joy when reading and rereading your words on those printed pages.
A copy of the revised version of Ruth T. Giles: Celebrating the Life ofa Virtuous Woman will be placed in the Special Collections section of the African American Research Library and Cultural Center and the South Florida History Museum and shared with the Old Dillard Museum and Bethune Cookman University.
I must extend belated expressions of appreciation to those who participated in Mom's wonderful drive-by birthday party last year (seephotos). You made that special day a very happy one for her.
And last, we hope to see you at the free piano concert at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 1, Mom's 99th birthday!

We will celebrate the renaming of the "Ruth T. Giles Dining Hall" in Mount Hermon AME Church's Family Life Center. Our Pastor Trae will also bless the two baby grandpianos donated by our concert performer, the Divinely gifted and entertaining pianist, Kris Nicholson.
Thank you for honoring and celebrating my mother's blessed life and legacy. Love and blessings to each of you, Yvette M. Giles, EdD
