Particiapnts in the village's annual Family Fun Run and 5K Race took to the streets of Rockville Centre on Nov. 9 last year. The event began at the Rockville Centre Long Island Rail Road station, where participants in the one-mile fun run took to the streets first. Ryan Schmitt came in first place, followed by Abegal Gruner winning the female division. The longer run followed, with Brian O’Gorman completing the 5-kilometer race in 16 minutes, 28 seconds. Indira Avila, of Flushing, was the first female finisher with a time of 18 minutes and 23 seconds.
