PROGRAM

Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to Bach to Rock! I’m thrilled you’re exploring what makes our school such a special place for learning music. At B2R, we believe music is more than just notes on a page. It’s a way to connect, express yourself, and build confidence that lasts a lifetime.
As the owner and operator of Bach to Rock, I’ve seen countless students walk through our doors with curiosity and leave with a passion for music that transforms them. Whether your child is just starting out, exploring different instruments, or ready to take the stage, we’re here to guide them every step of the way.
What sets us apart is our philosophy: students learn best when they’re having fun, collaborating with others, and achieving real milestones early on. That’s why our programs blend private lessons, group experiences, live performances, and even recording opportunities. All taught by talented, passionate instructors who love what they do.
Thank you for trusting us with your child’s musical journey. We can’t wait to help them discover the joy of music, build new friendships, and gain skills that go far beyond the classroom.
See you at B2R!

At Bach to Rock, music is for everyone. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time, sharpening advanced skills, or looking for a fun creative outlet, we have a program designed for you. Our students range from toddlers to adults, and our curriculum blends oneon-one instruction with group experiences to make music engaging, social, and rewarding.
We teach a wide variety of instruments—piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, ukulele, strings, brass, woodwinds, and more. Lessons are personalized, and students are encouraged to learn the music they love, from classical to pop, jazz to hip-hop, and everything in between.
Along the way, students gain real-world experiences: performing in live shows, recording in professional studios, and collaborating with peers. Parents can rest assured that their child will not only build musical skills, but also confidence, creativity, and lasting friendships.
At the heart of our programs is the B2R Philosophy:Students learn best when they perform in groups, gaining motivation and confidence from peers.
• Having fun is essential in music education, keeping students excited to learn and progress.
• A well-rounded curriculum is the key to lasting success.
Our teaching approach is built around three core tenets:
1. Music Theory – Understanding the language of music, from rhythm to harmony.
2. Technique – Building the physical skills and habits to play an instrument well.
3. Repertoire – Developing a collection of songs students love, spanning all genres.
Most private lesson students begin with our Foundations Program. In their first five lessons, students learn to play a complete song from start to finish and record it in our studio. This immediate accomplishment creates excitement and confidence, inspiring them to continue growing as musicians.

My daughter has had a wonderful experience with all her lessons with Sam. She is excited about going to her lessons, she enjoys practicing, she feels comfortable asking questions when she doesn’t remember or understand something. I always get a quick feedback at the end of each lesson and my daughter looks forward to learning how to read and play music!

Our private lessons pair students with accomplished musicians and educators who tailor instruction to individual goals and learning styles. Lessons are available in 30- or 60-minute weekly sessions, giving students consistent and personal guidance.
Highlights: - Personalized curriculum that grows with the student beginner through advanced.
• Access to a song library of 400+ tracks, spanning Mozart to modern hits.
• Teachers who are not only classically trained but also touring and recording professionals.
• Choice of instrument: piano, guitar, bass, drums, voice, ukulele, strings, brass, woodwinds, and more.
Private lessons help students build strong technique and music theory knowledge while giving them the freedom to choose the music they love. Parents appreciate the balance between structured learning and creative exploration, while students enjoy seeing measurable progress week after week.
Playing music together transforms learning into a team experience. Our Band and Glee Club programs connect students of similar age and skill to rehearse, collaborate, and perform under the guidance of professional coaches.
Benefits include: - Applying private lesson skills in a live group setting.
• Building confidence through public performances and competitions.
• Developing teamwork, leadership, and stage presence.
Students rehearse regularly and perform at local venues, festivals, and community events, giving them a taste of what it feels like to be a true performer. For many, these ensembles become the highlight of their musical journey, where friendships form and creativity thrives.
Rock n Roll (Ages 1–3)
Parent-and-child classes that introduce babies and toddlers to rhythm, melody, and movement through sing-alongs, instrument play, and stories. These fun sessions also promote early development in language, motor skills, and coordination.
Rock City® (Ages 3–5)
Preschoolers learn core music concepts through storytelling and instrument exploration. Each class combines music, creativity, and play to build early skills in rhythm, pitch, and coordination. Parents often see noticeable growth in focus and self-expression.
Kids n Keys (Ages 5–7)
An engaging group piano program where kids learn keyboard basics, hand positioning, and how to read music—all in a fun, interactive setting. Kids gain confidence as they play recognizable songs and share their progress with family.
Fun with Music (Ages 5–7)
A sampler program where kids try out different instruments (piano, guitar, drums, voice, ukulele) over 10 sessions, helping them discover the instrument that excites them most. This is a great option for children still exploring their musical interests.
My son really enjoys Bach to rock! He’s been through rock city and now on to kids and keys! He loves his teacher and is doing great!

In the one week that I sent my Son to Bach to Rock for band camp, the 4 - 5 person group learned THREE songs! The last day of camp (Friday), the teachers had the parents watch the performance in a dedicated staging area. The band sounded spot on! Instruments included were drums/guitar/bass guitar/ keyboard and of course there were vocals. I give super kudos to the teachers who taught the group the particular instruments needed for the songs. We even received an online recording of the show! Bach to Rock is a quality location to choose for camps/lessons and any other music related activity for your child. We will return again!

Week-long and partial-week camps give kids and teens the chance to learn an instrument, play in a band, explore DJing, or produce music in a studio. Camps are offered in summer, winter, and spring breaks, with options including Rock Band, Glee Club, DJ/Beat Refinery®, Early Childhood, and Music Production.
During camp, students work toward a final performance or recording project, giving them a clear goal and a sense of achievement. Parents love that their children stay active and creative during school breaks, while kids enjoy making new friends and rocking out together.
Celebrate like a rock star! Our party packages let kids, teens, and even adults experience the thrill of performing with friends. Choose from themes like Rock Band, Karaoke, DJ, or Rock City (ages 4–6). Parties are perfect for birthdays, team outings, or corporate events.
Guests get to play instruments, sing, or DJ, and leave with lasting memories and often a recording of their performance. It’s a one-of-a-kind way to celebrate any occasion.
Parents choose Bach to Rock because our programs go beyond traditional music lessons. We combine highquality instruction with opportunities for creativity, performance, and fun. Here’s why families love being part of the B2R community:
• Confidence Building: Students don’t just practice at home—they perform on stage, record in studios, and share their music with others, building self-esteem and pride.
• Engagement: By learning the songs they love and playing alongside peers, students stay motivated and excited to learn.
• Life Skills: Our programs foster teamwork, leadership, communication, and perseverance—skills that serve children well beyond music.
• Professional Mentorship: Our instructors are experienced musicians who bring realworld expertise and inspire students at every step.
• Community & Fun: Parents appreciate that Bach to Rock is more than lessons—it’s a place where kids make friends, explore creativity, and feel part of a supportive musical community.
With Bach to Rock, music education is not only effective, but also enjoyable and meaningful.
I love Bach to Rock. All three of my girls have had classes from toddler up to piano lessons and it’s an amazing, positive place. It’s been a staple in the Rockland community for many years and I’m so grateful for everyone here!
Thank you guys! — Leslie N
