Davis Orthodontics in Richmond Hill offers a new, high-tech way to help improve your smile. Patients who have wanted to enhance their smiles, but have worried about the discomfort of dental impressions can now benefit from an iOC digital scanner. Ontario’s Black Pig competition barbecue team was among the top teams at an inter-

national barbecue cooking contest held this spring in Memphis, Tennessee. In fact, the team from Ontario was the only Canadian team to compete among 250 global grillers and grabbed fifth place in the whole hog division as teams from more than 20 American states and several countries competed for more than $110,000 in prize money. “This is just a huge achievement and the whole team is absolutely ecstatic with the result,” said team member Stephen Perrin, executive chef and owner of three Ontario restaurants — Terra in Thornhill, Sarpa in Richmond Hill and Rusty’s in Collingwood. More than 100,000 foodie spectators attended the competition that was based on the unique team recipes for three distinct pork barbecuing elements: whole hog, shoulder and ribs. Mr. Perrin said that the team’s celebrated barbecue pork trio will be featured entrées at Terra, Sarpa and Rusty’s this summer. Sarpa restaurant is in Oak Ridges at 13311 Yonge St. Call 905-773-2188 for information or reservations.
