•The Affordable Child Care Benefit was introduced in September 2018. The funding is intended to help families with the cost of child care, depending on factors like family size, type of care and houshold income. There is the potential of additional funding for families with children who have a designated special need and require extra support. •The Supported Child Development Program at the Richmond Society for Community Living assists child care facilities with providing quality care for children with extra support needs.
