Mike PRIVERT Children: Lucas, 8 months Occupation: Owner of Speks What’s a typical day like for you? The day always starts at 5 a.m. trying to sneak in a little mediation, a walk for the dogs, or work before everyone in the house gets up. With running a business, the workday is always packed with meetings, client follow-ups, and putting out fires. Typically, I'm home by 6 p.m., and each night I get to put my son to bed with a bottle and a book. Best thing about being a dad: Working with my wife on raising a great son and actively participating in his development and growth. What activities do you enjoy doing with Lucas? Every Saturday, Lucas and I get to spend the entire day together, just the two of us, so we get to grow and bond with one another. Also, nightly family walks with our two cocker spaniels, Bella and Marley. Describe your style: Clean, classic and sharp. What’s your go-to look? A button-down shirt, dress pants, and lace-up Oxford shoes. Must-have item: Hanz de Fuko Claymation hair wax. What is your top fashion indulgence? A tailored slim-fit suit. Favorite brands: Bonobos, Hugo Boss and Banana Republic. Most prized possession in your closet: A T-shirt from my time working at the CIA. What do you hope Lucas learns from you? How to be a great husband and father. How do you balance work and fatherhood? I really look at work and fatherhood as two integrated parts. Being a father and running a business are a reciprocal relationship that I’m always working on.
