DISH IT OUT When: Oct. 23, 5-8 p.m. Where: High Street Who: High Street will actually shut down to welcome more than 3,000 guests, more than 60 restaurants and cocktail, wine and beer vendors during this large-scale taste event. Featured restaurants include Top of the Rock, Virtù, Nico, Citizen Public House, The Gladly and Sapporo. Why: Dish It Out benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, which provides services to more than 30,000 Valley youths, operating a total of 13 clubhouses, a fullservice dental clinic and outreach services throughout the Valley. t might feel a little cooler outside, but the fall is one of the hottest times of the year for fairs, festivals and, of course, taste events. And as it turns out, some of the best ones are more than just delicious – they benefit the important work of our local nonprofit organizations. With that, here’s to eating for the greater good!

CORKS AND COLLARS When: Oct 29, 3-6 p.m. Where: Market Street at DC Ranch Who: As title sponsor of the event, DC Ranch’s own Market Street Kitchen is providing all of the bites at the event, including tastes from their newly launched fall menu and – of course – their famous green chili pork stew. Wine, beer, specialty desserts, live music and a silent auction will also be offered. And yes, it is a dog-friendly event. Why: Corks and Collars benefits Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue, which has rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed more than 2,500 Arizona labs in need since 2000. Plus, The Joy Bus will award their first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award and will auction off tickets to exclusive experiences including a meet and greet with chefs Mario Batali and Scott Conant (who will be heading up the Food & Wine Experience program).
