omen who are dressed in head-totoe style – from dazzling jewels to cute cashmeres – get a second glance from passersby. These women are the trailblazers in fashion and the modern day Grace Kellys. Heather Holm, the owner of central Scottsdale boutique, CRUSH, is one such woman. With an emphasis on all things chic, CRUSH (www.shopcrushaz.com) specializes in high-quality womenswear, with a focus on the latest fashion trends spanning unique bohemian and rockerchic styles interspersed with swimwear, jewelry and stylish activewear. “Owning CRUSH has given me a creative outlet to express my inspirations, style and love of everything cool.” CRUSH pays tribute to Holm’s playful and carefully curated style. “I have definitely stepped outside of my comfort zone since opening CRUSH. It’s not about how much you spend. It’s about the ‘mix’ and combining textures and colors with the new and the old. Style is what one creates with these,” she explains. As a busy mom of two beautiful girls, Sophia and Chloe, Holm opts for comfort without compromising cuteness. “If it’s not comfortable, I won’t wear it,” she admits. Thanks to Holm’s tasteful eye and admiration for others’ style – she says Rocky Barnes is her ultimate idea of a trendsetter – CRUSH gives Valley women the opportunity to make fashion statements just as crush-worthy as Holm’s personal style.
WALKING THE FASHION TALK Heather Holm’s crush-worthy style
What is your favorite season to dress for? Winter – I love to be bundled up in layers, sipping on lattes. What do enjoy most about working in fashion? Outfits are like snowflakes – no two are alike. I select my base pieces, then everything else falls into place. When you aren’t running your boutique, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I love spending time and hanging out with my daughters, Pilates at COR, traveling and, of course, looking for new trends to bring to the Valley.
