itchell Fox, owner of Fox Cigars, is no stranger to the liquor and cigar business. At the age of 20, he opened his first liquor and cigar stores. He sold those off, and 7 years ago opened his first cigar bar in Gilbert, and then in Scottsdale 18 months ago. “I decided that my business was going to offer one of the best experiences in the valley for any kind of lounge,” Fox explains. With a natural passion for scotch, whiskey, bourbon and cigars, Fox is dedicated to his cigar bar businesses, putting everything he has into them and earning his customers’ trust. “I spent well over a million dollars to open not just one of the best cigar lounges in the state, but one of the best bar experiences in the country,” he says. By merging his liquor store mentality and applying the basics to a high-end cigar experience, Fox believes he’s created the perfect pairing of a premium

drink menu with an extensive selection of cigars. With hundreds of brands of cigars, over 100 whiskeys, over 100 scotches, 16 craft rotating taps, and over 400 premium spirits, Fox Cigars is sure to have what the most discerning palette is seeking. “We have the most aggressive prices and the absolute best customer service in the industry!” Fox says. Fox ensures the atmosphere in Fox Cigars is top-notch with comfortable seating indoors and outdoors, 34 TVs, and state-of-the-art smoke eaters and air filtration systems. His staff are knowledgeable and ready to serve and provide drink and cigar suggestions. “Cigars are about taking some time out of your busy day to relax, enjoy and appreciate the finer things in life,” he says. Fox’s vision is not to provide this experience just to the stereotypical cigar guy, but to make it comfortable for all demographics of cigar smokers.
“I made my bars modern with the right vibe to attract the younger new generation of cigar smoker which includes women,” Fox explains. For 2017, Fox is amplifying his social media presence and has launched his new website. He plans to have cigar and liquor events for a more interactive approach, to emphasize the cigar experience and educate customers about what they are smoking or drinking. The humidor staff makes suggestions based on the customer’ taste, not their own. There will be events focused on pairings with flights of scotch and craft beers that Fox Cigar carries. “We actually bring in the experts to talk about their products, the master distillers, the craft beer makers, the master cigar blenders and the owners of the companies to teach you!” Fox says.
