Lisa, Matt, and Laura Lucky of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty Despite what their name may suggest, Lisa, Matt, and Laura Lucky didn’t get this far in real estate thanks to luck. The mother, father, and daughter team at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s owe their 20+ years of success to their dedication, hard work, and diverse talents. Lisa Lucky worked in Xerox sales before transitioning to real estate. Her husband Matt Lucky worked in mechanical and software engineering. He is an expert in digital map-building, an invaluable skill when it comes to land sales. Laura studied at the W.P Carey School of Business at ASU, and drives the family firm’s marketing. The Lucky’s credit their diverse training as what gives them an edge in a highly competitive market. “We have a dynamic team that brings different strengths to the table,” says Laura. The Luckys describe their business as “client centric” thanks to the team’s detail-oriented organization skills. They consistently give their clients the exposure they need to sell their homes for the highest prices by utilizing Laura’s expertise in robust marketing. As a family business, the Luckys want to help other families in their community and that often means putting in extra hours to ensure that everything is done right. Friends and clients are the backbones of their business. The Wall Street Journal has recognized Lisa Lucky as one of the top 250 agents in the United States (multiple times). She also ranks among the top 1% of agents in Arizona. But Lisa is much more excited for upcoming milestones within her own family. Laura is set to get married in 2022, and she and Matt are excited to have a new son-in-law. In the meantime, the team is always looking to improve themselves and support their local community. Laura listens to an inspirational podcast every morning before work and spends her free time reading. “Reading is a great way to add perspective and allows you to think outside the box,” she shares. Based in North Scottsdale, the Luckys show other local and family-owned businesses the same support they have received. After all, their favorite part of working in real estate is meeting new people. They also cite the Bible verse Romans 12:4-5 as a great motivator.
