Family First
Providing support and legal expertise is what Lindsay Benjamin does best.
L
indsay E Benjamin, J.D. had her goals set from an early age. “I wanted to be a lawyer since I was in elementary school,” she states. And young Benjamin grew up to make that dream a reality. Born and raised in Arizona, she attended Arizona State University for undergraduate studies before attending law school in California. She returned home for the Arizona bar before graduating from law school in 2004, and pursued a career in family law determined to change the practice altogether. Benjamin is the founder and CEO of Simple Family Law, a concierge family law company that helps people without legal representation prepare and file legal documents. By this summer, the Simple Family Law website will expand to include step-by-step instructional videos and other legal guidance to help to make the family law process as clear and easy as possible for all Arizona residents. Benjamin also serves Of Counsel to
the Tyler Allen Law Firm, a firm she refers to as extremely experienced, professional and friendly. She specializes exclusively in family law and assists clients with their divorce proceedings, custody arrangements, and the drafting of prenuptial agreements. “We recognize how family law affects every aspect of people’s lives, from their children to their finances and their homes, as well as their relationships with extended family and friends,” she says. As the child of an acrimonious divorce, she understands what her clients are going through. The last thing she wants is for the children of her clients to worry whether their parents will ever be able to be in the same room together, so she carries out all of her legal matters with the utmost dignity and respect toward all parties involved. Her firm aims to provide the “calm in the storm,” so that each individual can feel empowered moving through their legal matter, and with the hope that their children can have
peace in the future. “We provide incredible value for our clients, many of whom become friends once their legal matter has concluded,” she says. Family law isn’t Benjamin’s only passion. She is an avid animal lover and is involved in various charities that promote the welfare of pets and their humans. She is a founding member of People Saving Pets, a non-profit organization that provides funding to animal rescues and facilitates adoption events in the community. Benjamin has also chaired the HERO Awards for three consecutive years, which supports the Arizona Pet Project by providing resources to underserved families so that they do not have to surrender their beloved companions. After all, “pets are part of the family too.” Follow along on Instagram at: @mylawyers and @simplefamilylaw.
