How to Navigate Sober Dating Skip the liquid courage to make a meaningful connection

Grabbing a drink is one of the most common first dates. Even though, according to the National Epidemiological Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions, 30 percent of Americans don’t consume alcohol, it is an understatement to say that navigating the world of sober dating is difficult. Whether someone is in recovery or staying away from alcohol as a lifestyle choice, there is something incredible daunting about the idea of dating without liquid courage. However, the world of dating can be just as fun if you try the alternatives and following tips.

Go out for a drink…of coffee Every outing or date doesn’t need to revolve around alcohol. A great substitute for grabbing drinks is a coffee date. It is more fun to have a first date to be an out-of-the-box activity or entertaining with an experience that is a first for both and keeps you engaged. Go to a museum exhibit.
