Summer Camp for Creativity Scottsdale Artists’ School’s (SAS) weekly Youth and Teen Summer Fine Art Camps are coming back. The Youth Academy, ages 6-14, begins May 29, and Teen Academy, ages 14-18 starts June 4. All sessions, which are geared toward students of all levels, are held in the school’s art studios and taught by professional teaching artists. Each session (all art supplies are included) incorporates an array of 2-D art mediums such as drawing, painting, watercolor, mixed media, as well as 3-D art mediums such as relief, additive, found objects, and hand building with clay. Students will get creative, explore new techniques, learn how to prepare their art for show, and share their creations in an Art Show with Reception at the end of each session. During this time, students will host an exhibit of artworks they created throughout the week. Each session features new projects based on different themes.
