hopes small improvements can help some be better than ever. “We wanted to make things exciting for people this year,” he said.

New events Stoughton Fair organizers are hoping to increase attendance Friday morning and Sunday afternoon, so they’ve added two new events. Day Care Day, Friday, July 5, runs from 9-11 a.m., is a new event for the youngsters and will give parents some time to attend other activities. Childcare providers, families, nannies and anyone

with young children are invited to the arena to do a scavenger hunt through the barns. Exhibitors from 4-H will be around to help participants and hand out stamps to children. “Our fair is all about the 4-H kids and the kids that come to the fair,” Dybevik said. “(This event) livens up the mornings and maybe those kids will bring their families back and show them what they saw.” Each participant of Day Care Day gets a ticket for soft serve ice cream from the fair commissary or an allergy sensitive option.
