M. “Jim” Hamburg
James M. “Jim” Hamburg age 72 of Prairie du Sac passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 following an extended illness. He was born on April 14, 1950 in Reedsburg, WI the son of Paul and Betty (Ewing) Hamburg. Following graduation from High School Jim served in the United States Army and worked as a project superintendent for Kraemer Brother’s for about 30 years. He liked working on classic cars and deer hunting with his son, James and spending time with his brother, Don. Survivors include his son, James Hamburg and Alesha Martin, his daughter, Talia (Eric) Oberling, 5 grandchilden, his former wife, good friend and mother of his children, Rachel Anderson, 4 siblings, Carol Sorenson, Don (Joy) Hamburg, Peggy (Pat) Ringelstetter, Mary Lou (Donny) Wittmann, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Hamburg and Betty Lou Dederich, a sister Joanne McCluskey, 2 brothers, Thomas Dederich and Terry Hamburg. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Stafford Funeral Home in Richland Center from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. with burial in the Richland Center Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Local Veterans Military Memorial Honors Unit. Gaylord Lee Deets, age 86, of Bloom City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday November 30, 2022, at Schmitt Woodland Hills in Richland Center, Wisconsin Gaylord was born on February 21, 1936, in Bloom City, WI, the son of Jesse and Beulah (Huffman) Deets. He graduated from Richland Center High School 1953, then attended Richland Teacher’s College prior to joining the United States Air Force in January 1956. Gaylord married Elda Beaty in March 1956 and moved to Sumter, South Carolina. Gaylord was stationed at Shaw Air Force Base where he was trained as a gunner. Upon returning home from the Air Force in 1960, Gaylord became the Postmaster at the Bloom City Post Office in 1963. He served as the Postmaster from 1963 until January 1983, when he took an assignment as the Postmaster in Nelson, Wisconsin until September of 1991, when he retired. Gaylord and Elda owned and operated school buses and drove school routes for preschool-12th grade for Richland School District. In 1969, Gaylord and Elda purchased the Deets Family Farm in Bloom City, Wisconsin which became a Century Farm in 2002. They raised beef cattle and crops. Gaylord was a member of the Richland County Board for 24 years representing District 2 serving on multiple committees during this time. Gaylord was a member of the Keith D. Chamberlin Lodge #66 (formerly Richland Lodge #66) for 49 years. He received his Master Mason degree on February 21,1973. He was Master of the lodge in 1981. He was also a Shriner in the Tin Lizzie Unit. Gaylord had a passion to help children. He supported The Shriners Hospital and St. Jude’s Hospital. He enjoyed bowling, deer hunting, woodworking and watching his grandchildren at sporting events. He was a fan of the Wisconsin Badger basketball and football teams, Milwaukee Brewers, and Green Bay Packer. Gaylord is survived by his wife, Elda, children, Bev (Chris) Laue of Richland Center, Wisconsin, Cheryl (Kevin) Nagel of Waunakee, Wisconsin, 4 grandchildrenMikayla Laue (Ryan Geissler) of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Annaliese Laue (Trevor Spears) of Richland Center, Wisconsin, Jonathon (Irish) Nagel of Slinger, Wisconsin, Jessica (Nagel) Kirkpatrick of Tipton, Iowa, Laura Nagel (wife of Michael) of Denzer, Wisconsin, 5 great grandchildren - Rowan & Arthur Nagel, Kalvin, Michaela, & Kenzie Kirkpatrick, a sister Norma Bethards of Zionsville, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. Gaylord was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Beulah Deets and grandson Michael Nagel. Funeral services were Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in the Bloom City Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the Local Military Memorial Honors Unit. Visitation was on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Masonic Service that followed at 7:00 PM. Visitation was also on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The family suggests memorials in Gaylords name be directed to St. Jude’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the Shriners Hospital for Children 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60707. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service assisted the family with their arrangements.

This position plays an important role in our Nursing Leadership Team. The PM charge nurse provides oversight and support to the clinical staff working the PM shift as well as assistance with the admission process, medical provider rounds, change of condition care, and facility issues that arise within the shift.
A great candidate would be a Registered Nurse that has long-term care experience, leadership experience or a desire to grow in a leadership capacity Knowledge of Infection prevention and control, wound management, and Long-term care regulations would be a plus.
