OBITUARIES

Bruce Raymond Clarke, 88, of Richland Center died Wednesday, October 26, 2022, surrounded by his family at the Richlan d Hos pital.

was born December 15, 1933, in Readstown the son of Ralph and Myrtle (Smith) Clarke. Bruce graduated from Readstown High School in 1953. He enlisted in the US Army serving from 1953-56.

his honorable discharge, Bruce worked as a diesel mechanic until he returned to Richland Center in 1968. Bruce was united in marriage to Joan (Huffman) Drake in 1974 and the couple moved to Florida in 1978. He worked as a salesman and owned a restaurant before returning to Wisconsin in 1998. Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and telling jokes. In 2015, Bruce went on the Badger Honor Flight accompanied by his daughter, Mona, an experience he truly enjoyed. Bruce is survived by his wife Joan Clarke of Richland Center; two daughters: Ramona ‘Mona’ Clarke of Richland Center, Robin Clarke of Richland Center; Joan’s sons: Dana (Sharon) Drake of Reedsburg, DeLon (Julie) Drake of Richland Center; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister: Marcia Ann Luther of Waxahachie, TX; mother of his children: Jean Clarke of Richland Center; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Jessica Dale Burnham, and brother-in-law John Luther. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pratt Community Hall on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, with refreshments to be provided. Military rites will be conducted by the Local Military Memorial Honor Unit at 3:30 PM with a time of sharing to follow the military rites. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
