Losing both Mom and Dad in the span of 3 months was really hard. Some peace followed Mom’s passing just knowing she was again, after 70 years of marriage, by Dad’s side again in heaven. Thanks to everyone for your presence at the visitations and funerals, the cards, memorials, flowers, meals, visits and especially prayers for each of us through this difficult time. It means a lot to see such an outpouring of love and kindness from so many. A heartfelt thank you for Pastor Connie Matye for her many words of comfort for the funerals and to Melby Funeral Home and all the staff for their wonderful, caring service and assistance. A special thank you to the ladies of the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville and the Peace Lutheran Church, Belmont for overseeing the funeral luncheons with such kindness and efficiency. And one last thank you to Heather and Angie at Park Place along with their staff. These wonderful ladies took Mom, when her heart was completely broken, and loved her to the point that she was the “life of the party.” You each go above and beyond for your residents. We loved seeing Mom so happy! God bless each of you.
