Twelve Member Emeritus and one (1) College of Fellows were elevated this Fiscal year to each respective body Although most years, B4 members’ elevation to the College of Fellows is mainstream, a dozen Member Emeritus has never been done For the first time in the history of District B4, we gained more than a handful recognition for our pioneer and distinguished UAP members of 35 years or more For the elevation to the College of Fellows, we only had one member to submit this year and fortunately got in Small in number but definitely a big win!

It is with pride and joy that we celebrate this milestone with these members of B4 together with their respective Chapters and families May each one of you find fulfillment and honor in this prestigious citation and may you continue to bring honor and service to our beloved organization through your local Chapters Our salute and gratitude goes to these 13 individuals and their respective Chapter Presidents for bringing honor to the District.

We extend not only our congratulations but also celebrate this achievement for Regional District B4 for coming together and taking this project to heart. May this be a start of many more elevated status for our beloved B4 comrades and colleagues.

Being a hard worker had always been a trait we admire in people - the grit, the passion and the perseverance are just some of the many attributes of this trait And always, hard, honest and sincere work pays off, it never goes unnoticed like some may claim Rare times, detractors may invalidate the rewards and applause of hard work and still find reasons to undermine the many good results of our genuine efforts This should never discourage us to do good and continue to be excellent in what we do For the essence and value of our hard work comes not from what others give us nor what we get out of it but rather, our true and priceless gift comes only from how and what we become after our accomplishments and victories At the end of the day, as long as we did right by our God, our worth will be measured by His love and grace alone

The feats and accomplishments of the Chapters of RDB4 are true testaments of hard work and perseverance Each event, every award and all other citations, elevations and recognitions, and yes, even heartaches emanates from the sincerest of intentions to serve the organization and of putting value to being excellent in all endeavors It is my deepest hope that my leading and serving this District has been a game-changing experience not only for me but for all who have been a part of the whole And for as long as God allows me, I shall serve UAP with hard work, dedication and excellence - always making my son, mother, friends, family and kaB4 proud - MJT

RDB4 in Baguio City

UAP District B4 supported the NAW2023 Festivities in Baguio What seemed like a very small delegation turned out to be the biggest District Delegation to the UAP NAW Opening Ceremonies. Those who confirmed attendance to Baguio were not able to make it on the day a twist of fate. B4 showed up with 15 members. Our attendance was felt and was greatly appreciated by our National President.

With UAP Quezon Province’s Exhibit, Batangas Lakeshore’s gift-giving and Batangas’ Coastal Clean-up events for NAW and UAP Batangas East joining and UAP Mindoro bagging 8th place in the recently concluded A+D Film Documentary competition, and with the finale -UAP Palawan bagging the second best NAW Event for Area B, District B4 by far has the highest percentage of NAW support with eight (8) chapters out of nine (9)

B4 INKS DISTRICT RESOLUTIONS

Due to pressing matters and the signing of District Resolutions, UAP Bids requirements, and District fund allocations to chapters, our face-to-face Council Meeting must happen this month. However, B4 Chapter Presidents, IPDD and DDD’s schedule do not and cannot match. Understandably, ours is one of the busiest of professions hence, as District Director I am obliged to adjust to their schedule. I took it upon myself to bring the meeting to them. Hence the 3-day meeting; and each time explaining to them the contents, relevance and objectives of each pertinent document.

Day 1 & 2 - was done at UAP B4 Center with CP Jovelita Etcubañas (UAP Quezon Province) and CP Joanne Bernardino (UAP Batangas Lakeshore) on January 23rd and with CP Willie Apacible (UAP Mindoro) on the early morning of January 24th

Day 3 - happened on the road with a 20-minute-each meet-up meeting with IPDD Emelyn Rivera (UAP Mindoro) at the Batangas Port and CP Bernadine Ilagan (UAP Batangas) at Batangas Country Club on the morning of January 25th The afternoon had two (2) settings, 11 30AM with CP Andres Roxas (UAP San Pablo) and 4 30PM with DDD Dindo Barte (UAP Batangas)

Other days were done via video conferences January 26th with CP Kristine Tombucon (UAP Palawan) and February 1st with CP Mariel Matabang (UAP Lipa) Thus, dubbed as the longest Disctrict Council meeting ever

DD Richie considers this gathering as the highlight of her term as the day was simply dedicated to light conversations and hard laughs, no talks about work or District matters, simply - fellowship If it were up to her, each council meetings should just be about connecting with people Those who could not join this event were missed Surely, this one is for the books This rare to find moments can be institutionalized and done yearly to promote health campaign

A tweaked from Alagang UAP, this CSR project was a brain child of AVPB Annie Pugeda, and now NEVP-elect, in response to the growing need to help the advocacy of those whose lives are dedicated to the unloved pets as they await to be re-homed or have a home with the rescuers Sweet Pets of Haven at Trece Martirez, Cavite is the main beneficiary of this heart-warming project Together with District B1 to B5, headed by District Directors Raffy Retuyan, Carlos Lacuña, Jeudel Joson, Richie Tumambing and Rodel Lleva respectively, the entire Area B rallied behind our AVP to give back to society’s best friend and pet pals

San Pablo City is rich in Komiks history As part of their advocacy to promote Filipino Komiks and foster a reading culture in Southern Tagalog Region, Komikero Komiks Museum, Casa San Pablo and Seven Lakes Komiks Organizing Committee have curated this funfilled day of reading, thoughts and dialouge about komiks- generally connecting creators with readers.

UAP San Pablo Featured Chapter

The late Gerry Alangilan (UAP San Pablo Chapter member) was one of the country’s phenomenal Komiks creator/writer/artist and his posthumous works are part of the festival’s main attraction. Needless to say, UAP San Pablo was tapped to partner in this art-centered event, Architecture being art (and science) as well Spotlight of the event were Komiks creators but the venue was also conducive to promote Architecture as an art The Chapter showcased educational posters and materials about Architecture/Architects in their booth Any day is a good day to promote our profession, and they did

Chapter President Andres Roxas, having the support of the great Chapter Presidents before him, made it his ultimate legacy project to ensure that this vision was put towards its fulfillment This deal was sealed with one of the oldest educational institutions in San Pablo City, Laguna College On this day, with Deans Beda Lacsam and Nick Marasigan and Dr. Ester Lozada (President of Laguna College), this chapter made history and once again proved that their best years are going strong and their wheels are always in motion UAP SPC, evolving, championing and moving forward

This project has been presented to a few institution over the past years but have not gained any traction until now With Laguna College, they have found a partner who shares their vision and stands with them in anticipation of the great things ahead both for the Institution and the City of San Pablo. With God’s providence and the help of people working behind the documentation requirements, BS Architecture in Laguna College is set to begin next Academic Year

UAP Quezon Province chapter members were also victims of the wrath of Aghon; they were at the center of the storm, by the shores of Borawan Island where they held their Annual Chapter Team Building. After their festivities, Aghon made a land fall late night of Saturday, May 25 This did not stop them from doing an impromtu rescue operations that daywhere they saved handful of people from dehydration, hunger and/or hypothermia As they left last weekend, they vowed to return and help the UAP Quezon Province way - aksyon agad dahil ang taong nangangailangan hindi pinaghihintay They came bearing gifts, in pails were groceries, flashlights, hygiene products and pre-loved clothes

Wanting to help the stranded amidst being stranded themselves is what have made these remarkable individuals modern day heroes And wanting to do more for them as quickly as possible is a testament of the true character of this B4's oldest chapter Prioritizing this outreach project over B4's Fellowship Night and Dinner (the night before) is a conscientious decision worthy of admiration.

The Election Forums hosted by different UAP Areas, Districts and Chapters were heated and riveting but were well-received and generally peaceful Proving once again that these forums, a UAP COMELEC initiative project, is an effective exercise for general membership voters to get to know their candidates

From the get go of the race, fearless forecast was said that UAP NEVP-elect Annie Pugeda will be the run-away winner against her opponent As for the UAP SecGen, it could be anybody’s ball game - both have been a former Area A Vice President and are seasoned UAP leaders It was believed by most that the duel for UAP National Treasurer was the main event to watch out for (most political analysts say) However, what was believed to be an upset for UAP NT-elect and current DD for B4 turned out to be a miraculous victory - of a margin not many anticipated. There are a lot of great stories in politics about the underdog winning - and this grand slam is one of them It was a clean and sweet sweep by the LEADing Ladies of our now UAP NP-elect Donato Magcale

The campaign season began March 26 and ended April 17, 2024 Canvasing of electoral votes lasted less than 4 hours to determine the winners; though counting officially lasted until 2 o’clock of April 19. The proclamation of winners was done during the UAP G l A bl th 20th

The B4 Lunch Date

As early as the beginning of this year, January 2024, DD Richie Tumambing arranged for an all-in lunch for B4 through the kindness of Davies Paints Over the years, since the expansion of B4 Chapters from five (5) to nine (9), Davies‘ dining experience during NatCons have always been by batches, never a one-time experience for all This year, DD Richie made sure that everyone got together as one District - for the District that eats together, stays together We hope to make this an annual celebration and get together

NatCon49 Day 2, April 19, 2024 is UAP election returns‘ canvassing which was the reason why the woman of the hour was not present at this event Nonetheless, it shall be written in the B4 history books that, in partnership with Davies Paints, B4 came together as a solid unit on April 2024 That for a brief moment every leader, every mover, every member was reminded that though they may be diverse and share difference of opinions, the common thread that will always bring and hold them together would be the very same love they have for UAP and the District B4 That always, diversity can be beautiful

It is an honor to be instrumental to the success of District B4 over the years. Kami po ay saludo sa inyong mga proyekto at mga panalo.
