For more than 40 years, The Richardson ISD Foundation has raised money exclusively to benefit the Richardson Independent School District (RISD). Founded in 1984, it is the third oldest education foundation in Texas. The Foundation has raised more than $8 million for RISD, supporting nearly 37,000 students and 5,700 teachers and staff by partnering with individuals, local businesses, and community organizations. Our funding priorities include early childhood literacy, STEM initiatives, equity programs, and more.
The Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt public corporation operating under the authority of a Board of Directors that is independent and separate from Richardson ISD and its Board of Directors. The volunteer Board serves without compensation and represents a cross-section of the community. The members have a sincere interest in our students and their success.
