Bloomington, Minnesota is the potential site for World Expo 2027. This design project focuses of the creation of pavillions for the expo that would remain permanent as part of the growing urban fabric of Bloomington.
The site for this project is in two sections adjacent to the Mall of America. The master plan aims to create a scaling grid system disected by an organic avenue connecting the two sites to nature, nearby developments, and to each other.
This project was completed with two other class members, Kennawak Geneti, and Sanadhiya Kumar.
MODEL WITHIN REAL CONTEXT

A few minutes away from the well know Minneapolis Institute of Art is the historic Hennepin History Museum. This design project works in conjunction with the museum coordinator to renovate and add to the exisitng museum.
The design focuses on creating a central, protected courtyard to act as a catalyst for events, art exhibits, and venue space.
The circulation of the museum wraps around the courtyard, giving intentional views to witness the space and its’ inhabitants from multiple perspectives. This promenade acts as moments to take refuge, and give prospectus to the programs in the courtyard.

In the final year of my undergraduate degree at the Univeristy of Texas at Arlington, I took part in the design build studio. The second semester of this project was constructing a single family home in Dallas, Texas. Working with firm BC Workshop, the home’s client, and a class small class, we were able to build the different phases of the home, pass inspections, and add design touches as students to the place our client was dreaming to live.
The learning process of actually building what is designed develops an understanding of drawings and implications of our decisions. Building the real architecture is an experience I highly value.
