A POLICE officer who had a sudden heart attack at Chipping Sodbury police station has been reunited with the group of more than 20 people who helped save his life. Ben Perrin collapsed after returning from an incident
and was found unconscious by colleagues, who did CPR and used a defibrillator to keep him alive. But that was only the start of a huge team effort to keep Ben alive involving paramedics, air ambulance and hospital staff.
Now, just over two months on from the emergency which very nearly claimed his life Ben has met them all to thank them and said: “I feel like I’m the luckiest man on earth.” Full story, Page 3
