JODHPUR, RAJASTHAN SEM2JODHPUR, A CITY OF NORTHWEST INDIAN STATE OF RAJASTHAN IS WELL KNOWN FOR IT’S HANDICRAFT WORKS, UNIQUE FESTIVALS AND ARCHITECTURE. THE SITE (BALESHWAR GANESH MANDIR) AT THE CHAURAHA OF GHANTAGHAR. IT HAS AN EXISTING PYAU ON ONE SIDE OF THE TEMPLE.
THE MAIN OBJECTIVE OF DESIGN CHALLANGE WAS TO CREATE AN OPEN, AND WELCOMING SPACE FOR THE USERS WITH A PRIMARY REQUIREMENT OF DESIGN A DRINKING WATER STATION WHERE TRESSPASSERS AND TOURISTS CAN HALT FOR REFRESHMENT AND RESTING.
THE STRUCTURE IS DESIGNED INCORPORATING THE DESIGN PRINCIPLES AND EL EMENTS LIKE SCALE, PROPORTION, SYMMETRY, BALANCE, SHAPE, TEXTURE AND PATTERN.

ARTIST’S ATELIER AND HOME
MULSHI, PUNE SEM3THE SITE AT MULSHI VALLEY, NEAR AVANTIGRAM, PUNE WAS FLOATED BY A PRI VATE COMPANY TO DESIGN A HOME + ATELIER FOR AN ARTIST OF CHOICE.
THE DESIGN REQUIREMENT FOR HOME WAS FOR A SINGLE FAMILY, INCLUDING A ADULT COUPLE AND TWO CHILDREN, RESTRICTED TO G+2 STRUCTURE EXPLOR ING THE CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AGAINST R.C.C.
THE REQUIREMENT FOR ATELIER WAS FOR THE ARTIST ALONG WITH 6 ADDITION

AL ASSISTANTS EXPLORING A MEZZANINE FLOOR FOR A CREATIVE ACTIVITY. A COMMON OFFICE FOR THE COUPLE.
THE ATELIER NEEDS TO DEDICATE 100 M² SPACE FOR EXHIBITIONS FOR 10 PEOPLE AT A TIME.
THE ARTIST CHOSEN FOR DESIGN IS A BALLET DANCE ARTIST AND THE TYPE OF SPACE CHOSEN FOR EXHIBITION IS DWELL POD.

CENTRE FOR TRADITIONAL EDUCATION
KARJAT, MAHARASHTRA SEM 5
THE PROPOSED SITE WAS NEAR AN ARCHAELOGICAL SITE KONDHANE BUDDHIST CAVES NEAR ULHAS RIVER. THE PROJECT DEALS WITH THE DESIGN OF A CENTRE OF TRADITIONAL LEARNING IN KONDHANE VILLAGE, KARJAT, MAHARASHTA MEASURING 6.41 ACRES (25950 SQ.M.) IT CONSISTS OF A RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN BE TWEEN 5TH TO 10TH GRADE AND A VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE FOR THE COMMUNITY PEOPLE.





THE DESIGN BASED ON THE GANDHIAN PRINCIPLE OF SARVODAYA IS AN INTEGRATED AREA PROVIDED OF A PLAYGROUND AN EXPERI MENTAL GROUND, A DEDICATED AREA FOR TRADITIONAL FARMING AND RENTAL STAFF HOUSING FOR THE COMMUNITY.

THE CITY LIBRARY CONCEPT

KHARGHAR, MUMBAI SEM 6
PUBLIC LIBRARY PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN PEOPLE’S LIVES AS A SOURCE OF ACCESSING INFORMATION AND A PLACE FOR KNOWLEDGE CREATION. IT HAS SHOWN THAT PUBLIC LIBRARIES ARE IMPORTANT INFORMATIONAL, EDU CATIONAL, CULTURAL, AND SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS.
THE PROJECT’S AIM WAS TO REVIVE TRADITIONAL PUBLIC LIBRARY WHILE PROVIDING A CONDUCTIVE LEARNING AND SOCIAL INTERACTIVE SPACES. FOLLOWING MODERN INDIAN ARCHITECTURE BASED ON CRITICAL REGIONALISM THE SITE IS LOCATED AT UTSAV CHAWK, KHARGHAR, NAVI MUMBAI.

PEOPLE- PLACE- COLIVING. THE DESIGN BRIEF FOR SEMESTER 7 IS DESIGNING A RENTAL HOUSING FOR PEOPLE MIGRATING IN THE CITY FOR THE EDUCATION AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES. ALCOVE REFERS TO SMALL POCKETS AT THE EDGE OF ANY COM MON ROOM FOR PEOPLE TO SIT, PLAY, OR CHAT. THE TERM IS DE RIVED FROM THE BRIEF WHICH DEFINES PEOPLE, PLACE, CO-LIVING.
ALCOVE IS VISUALISED TO DESIGN ALTERNATIVE LIVING SOLUTIONS FOR STUDENTS, PROFESSIONALS AND FAMILIES WHO ARE ATTRACT ED TOWARDS THE CITY FOR ITS EDUCATIONAL AND JOB OPPOR TUNITIES. ALCOVE IS DIVIDED IN THREE CLUSTERS TO PROVIDE AF FORDABLE HOUSING UNITS ALONG WITH REVENUE GENERATING SPACES LIKE CAFETERIA, EV CHARGING STATION, LIBRARY, WORK SPACE AND LAUNDRY. TO KEEP SOCIAL ACTIVITY AND CO-LIVING ALCOVE HAS VARIOUS OPEN SPACES SUCH AS CENTRAL PLAZA, CHILDREN PLAY AREA AND URBAN FARMING.
