In order to encourage and support architects to join the Conservation Register, the RIBA runs a Conservation Course that provides training which qualifies individuals to join the pathway at Conservation Registrant (CR) level. The aim of the register is for members to gather more experience through work, projects, and CPD to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and experience to apply for accreditation at Conservation Architect (CA) and ultimately Specialist Conservation Architect (SCA) accreditation level.
The Pathway has been designed to provide a focus and impetus for specialist CPD and training through an accessible and progressive system. Each level has CPD training which we feel is suitable for maintaining an accreditation, and ‘progression’ CPD which we would recommend for individuals aiming to apply for an accreditation one level higher
