INDONESIA NATIONAL TEAM FOOTBALL TRAINING CENTRE Pondok Aren, South Tangerang 2023

It all began with empathy as football enthusiasts and citizens of Indonesia, nurturing a dream to witness the growth of Indonesian football—a shared aspiration among football fans in the country. Witnessing the ups and downs of Indonesian football ignited a burning desire to contribute towards making it better.

This dream, often labeled as impossible by many, serves as a testament to the possibility of turning dreams into reality: to see the Indonesian National Football Team participate in the FIFA World Cup. The Garuda Project strives to serve as the foundation for Indonesian football's continuous development, in pursuit of the dreams of all football enthusiasts in Indonesia. This project encompasses a dedicated and exclusive football training center designed specifically for the Indonesian National Football Team.

Within this center, players and coaches can train, preparing themselves technically, physically, and mentally for friendly matches, domestic competitions, and international fixtures.

Additionally, an official office is in place to manage all administrative matters concerning the Indonesian National Football Team.

The football training center boasts two football pitches with natural and synthetic grass, meeting FIFA standards. Furthermore, it is equipped with facilities such as a gym area, hydrotherapy pool, physiotherapy area, tactical strategy education classrooms, changing rooms, an indoor pitch, and dormitory rooms to complete all the training activities of the Indonesian National Football Team.

CONCEPT The concept behind the programs at the Indonesian National Team training facility is to provide a platform and support system for the national team players. This platform is designed to help them enhance their playing quality, maintain excellent physical condition, and improve their tactical vision and strategic intelligence.

Ultimately, the goal is to enable them to deliver their best performance, contributing to the advancement of Indonesian football in both the present and the future.

Considering the condition of Indonesian football in 2023, there doesn't seem to be a clear vision or program for fostering the development of Indonesian football.

Currently, the Indonesian national team possesses an asset in the form of a coach who previously achieved noteworthy results with South Korea in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, namely Shin Tae-Yong. It's regrettable that the Indonesian football federation lacks a vision and a program to support Shin Tae-Yong's vision, similar to what he had when he was with the South Korean national football team.

Shin Tae-Yong had previously requested the establishment of a training center that could be used by the national team players to support his program and enhance the quality of Indonesian national football players. However, it's evident that, up to this point, the development of such a training facility has not yet materialized.

Al-Mutahid THE MOSQUE OF NOWADAYS Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta 2022

The origin of the dualism of perceptions within Islam has led to the labels of Liberal Islam (associated with the West) and Conservative Islam (associated with the East). These differing religious perspectives have created an internal divide, and the mosque, which serves as a place of worship for Muslims, plays a crucial role in addressing this dualism that has caused divisions between the two.

Al-Mutahid provides a solution through an experimental method and a program that combines the customs of both Muslim perspectives. The experiment involves creating a new custom that is acceptable to both viewpoints, aiming to harmonize relationships among fellow Muslims. The program differs from the typical mosque typology, as it is divided into three main programs: Spiritual, Cultural, and Social, thus transforming the mosque into a space not only for worship but much more than that.

The composition of Al-Mutahid's masses is derived through a geometric process inspired by the movements of prayer and the components of a mosque. The main form follows the geometric simplification of the prostration movement during prayer, combined with traditional mosque elements like domes and minarets. The building masses appear as if they are merging, but in reality, they are separated to accommodate the various program functions within Al-Mutahid.

CONCEPT The concept of "Islamic Nowadays Life" is employed as a response to the nature of modern society, which is predominantly liberal and individualistic, in order to create a new way of life with an Eastern, social, and collective locality. It draws from the concept of minimalism, which advocates living with just enough. This can be related to the Islamic concept of living that emphasizes the avoidance of excessiveness.

The "Open Mosque" concept is employed in response to places of worship in an urban context. It focuses on creating an open and interconnected environment that adapts to the urban setting. This concept utilizes natural elements, such as local materials, to counterbalance the global aspects of urban density.

The Al-Mutahid project aims to provide a fresh perspective and solution to the urban community, particularly in South Jakarta. It presents a concept of a place of worship that can serve as a sanctuary and shelter from the chaos of the densely populated urban life. This way, the urban population can fulfill their spiritual obligations, no matter how demanding their physical lives may be. The project is expected to serve as a focal point where modern urban society (which tends to be liberal) can transform into individuals who not only focus on worldly matters but also incorporate the seeds of religious knowledge into their daily lives.

SANTA BARBARA THE VINTAGE MARKETPLACE

Kebayoran baru, South Jakarta 2021

In recent years, this market has undergone a massive transformation into a hub of creativity and an alternative hangout for young people. This change took place in the early 2010s. Pasar Santa began to attract attention from young entrepreneurs and creative communities due to its strategic location and relatively affordable rental prices. This allowed creative industry players and culinary businesses to open unique and creative shops within the market.

In 2014, creative young communities started entering Pasar Santa and occupied the first floor. There, they sold coffee, vinyl records, t-shirts, watches, and culinary delights. Initially, the coffee and culinary communities noticed only a few vendors on the first floor. Eventually, they sought permission from PD Pasar Jaya, the developer of Pasar Santa, with the aim of establishing a trendy hangout spot for young creatives in South Jakarta at that time.

Pasar Santa has become a popular destination for both local and international tourists seeking an alternative atmosphere in Jakarta. Its appeal lies in the blend of a traditional market ambiance with the creative and modern touches brought by its inhabitants. Given its continued popularity among young people, you should definitely visit this ‘culture’ market.

However, the bustling atmosphere of Pasar Santa’s creative market didn’t last long. Over time, the condition of the first floor, once the hub of the creative market, became quiet, with only a few stalls occupied. However, the basement and ground floors remained lively, with almost all the stalls on these levels occupied. To revitalize Pasar Santa, the community collaborated with Pasar Santa itself to organize an event called the Santa Festival, held regularly every three months.

Until now, Pasar Santa continues to be frequented by creative young individuals exploring vintage items or engaging in thrift shopping for pre-loved clothes that are still in good condition.

.kodama児玉 THE ARTISAN COFFEE AND GALLERY

Pondok Aren, South Tangerang 2020

.kodama児玉 is an artisan cafe and gallery created with a mixed of traditional japanese and indonesian tropical theme that is unbeatable with this café and gallery concept. This place has workshops and seminars aimed at people with disabilities and even normal people.

In these seminars and workshops the focus is on someone who is free to be creative in his mind or heart into a painting. The paintings here will also be exhibited in the gallery area that has been provided by internal parties / administrators of this seminar and workshop. Especially for the visually impaired so that they can express themselves with limitations.

Artisanal coffee is designed as an experience instead of just a way to kick off the morning. Regular mass-produced coffee does not pay attention to coffee sourcing, and all the coffee is roasted unevenly in large batches. Not so with artisan coffee!

Artisanal coffee is carefully selected and roasted.

The barriers to entry distinguish the two types. In terms of coffee grading, specialty coffee wins the top rank. It has little to no defects and is given a high cupping score by coffee professionals called Q Graders. Whereas, anyone can grow, produce, and sell artisanal coffee, even from their home.

CONCEPT This project is specifically for people with disabilities, with facilities that can facilitate them with nature and enjoy life, this project offers a cool atmosphere so that it can calm the mind. For those with disabilities, sight and vision is not a reason for them to undergo activities. By using their other senses they can adapt to their surroundings even though they cannot see. Therefore, assistance such as a guiding block is needed for them to determine their direction of walking. This project offers something different using textures and materials that can help them.

Minimalism is often associated with japanese minimalist style design. Zen style art and design focuses on eliminating unnecessary frills or decorations. These arts are often described as diminishing aesthetics, for they allow infinite beauty and abundance to emerge from lack, not from excess. Immense creative power is poured into identifying and removing all unnecessary, be it elements, dimensions, shapes, sizes, spaces, quantities, or colors. In zen style art, a single line or single element can represent unlimited potential.

The main characteristics of traditional japanese zen style design are privacy, natural light, protection from the elements and a connection with the outdoors - no matter the size of the house or its location.
