AI DRIVEN DESIGN

UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA NAS

Based on research into Native American futurity and theories and beliefs found in Laura Harjo’s “Spiral to the Stars” I began to explore the relationship between indigenous wisdom and contemporary architecture. Indigenous wisdom emphasizes the interconnectedness of all things, including humans and the environment. This belief is reflected in the design of traditional indigenous dwellings, which are often built using natural materials and designed to harmonize with the surrounding environment. Adopting sustainable design principles and prioritizing the relationship between buildings and their natural surroundings. Taking these beliefs and writing narrative for the project to then use as prompts in an AI software to produce schematics and design ideas. Promoting the connection to nature and a sense of community, the next generation of indigenous people can forget about the past and focus on the future ahead.

The Voronoi geometry and red dirt share a commonality in their organic, self-organizing structures, and their representation of one another in architecture can evoke a sense of natural harmony and balance, creating an aesthetically pleasing and visually striking design.

Convey stages of an emotion:

Tranquility takes on a new form as one immerses oneself in the vibrant depths of an ocean reef, where life thrives in a symphony of colors, where the graceful dance of fish creates a tapestry of mesmerizing abstractions, and where the serene harmony of this underwater world evokes a profound sense of peace and awe. The scene can dissipate or grow.
