ABOUT ME Working in the design field after immediately graduating from college, I have learned to handle having multiple projects from the get-go. I’ve had the experience of working in a design agency, a small chain store, and a single store, creating branding, marketing and advertising materials that varied between multiple industries. This meant having to switch thought processes and design approach constantly, which taught me a lot about client relationships, multi-tasking and organizing to design and communicate in a productive, efficient and confident manner. I’m a lover of sports, cars and outdoor activities but will spend a sunday binging on streaming services and a copious amount of snacking.

Soapoint's aim was to create a movement in Denver, based around art, design, social networking, and efficient marketing while also supplying a timely, quality product to their diverse client base.

The Farm are cannabis ambassadors, cultivators, and purveyors of premium cannabis products, and create meaningful experiences for every employee, every guest, every time. They are one store, operating at a very high level of standards.

Sensi Magazine is a city lifestyle publication first and foremost that also has a progressive editorial stance around the changing landscape of health and wellness. The magazine appeals to a sophisticated audience of curious readers who are engaged by diverse and engaging content.

Ananta Energy is a tried and true energy brokering firm that specializes in multi-unit aggregations for both electricity and natural gas. They also provide LED lighting solutions to a variety of commercial businesses.

Styled as a high-end cannabis boutique, Lucy Sky has 4 stores around the Denver/Metro area.

They provide an educational and luxury experience, providing a great customer experience, while selling all the best cannabis products produced in Colorado.

After graduating from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, I was hired by SOAPOINT Graphics as a Junior Designer. Within a year, I moved up to a Senior Designer position and helped to manage multiple brands as a decision maker and lead project designer.

Sweet Leaf was a chain of cannabis retail stores and grow facilities, catering to the younger spectrum (21-35 yrs old) of cannabis consumers. At Soapoint, we were involved in the creation of this brand from the start. We positioned them to be able to grow into 14 stores and become one of the most recognizable and popular brands in Colorado, before sadly closing their doors due to conditions out of Soapoints control.

The interiors of Sweet Leaf were one of the most integral components to the brand.

We would do surveys of the area and research the demographics/sociographics of the neighborhood residents. From there, we would determine the best look for the store while remaining in the brand standards we previously created. Sweet Leaf had asked for all their stores to feel comfortable, yet modern, trendy and colorful.

The shopping experience felt alive and upbeat, creating more sales for the brand.

As the brand got rolling, I was tasked with helping to come up with an apparel line we called Sweet Leaf Life. The apparel was focused on comfortable materials and an unobtrusive relationship to cannabis (meaning no big pot leaves). This was a fun part of the brand for me because I could break brand standards with the designs, while still making the designs fit into one body of work under the Sweet Leaf brand. I also helped to art direct & photograph the lifestyle photos.

In the cannabis industry, packaging & labeling were a major part of we managed in the brand. The amount of compliancy that had to be followed and the restrictions on the way we could design the labels was strict, so designing these were always a bit of a challenge. However, it was a great way to be able to include almost all brand colors into a project. By doing so, we strengthened the brand's visibility and recognition to a larger consumer base.

As Sweet Leaf grew, so did their need for multiple website overhauls. They had started with only a basic landing page and within 2 years, we had overhauled their site 3 different times. This was because we added an online ordering platform, apparel shop and customized locations. I worked with the entire team to figure out color positioning, imagery, font usage and UI/UX experiences. Shown is the final product we had developed and functioned exactly how we envisioned.

A big reason why Sweet Leaf was so successful was their ability to stand out at events. I helped to put together an event package of materials that we would use, depending on the type of event. This package had everything from the custom canopy to stickers, raffle & swag items, staff clothing, digital materials and fun photo props to engage with our customers on a light-hearted level. I was in charge of sticker & swag design, photo props, canopy designs and writing scripts for staff.

Desmond Bar & Grill was a Mediterranean and American cuisine establishment located in Northeast Denver. They wanted to have a brand that evoked the culture of Mediterranean cuisine with a clean and humble aesthetic. I helped with art direction on this project, working with my senior designer and art director from sketches to the finished product.

Quest Concentrates was a cannabis brand focused on creating the cleanest and most bang-for-your-buck cannabis extract.

They wanted a brand that promoted people to not just sit on the couch after consuming cannabis, but rather get out in the world, do something productive for themselves or society, and open their mind to new experiences. I created this brand from scratch, including all brand standards and packaging.

Green Sativa strives to be a one stop shop, providing patients with a variety of hydroponically grown flower, a wide range of concentrates and edibles. They are in the business of providing medicine that helps our patients. I solely created this brand and helped them to take their initial "mom & pop shop" approach and turn it into a more sophisticated and engaging brand.

The Farm designed a store with the patients in mind—safe, warm and welcoming. It was created as a home where everyone could feel comfortable purchasing cannabis. As a vertically integrated company, we operated as one big unit, having everything from a grow facility to in-house marketing and a retail front.

As Art Director, I was tasked with taking our ads from previously being cluttered, cartoony and disorganized, to having a direct purpose, organized and evoke a feeling of what we called "rustic chic", targeting an upper-middle class demographic in Boulder, CO. THE FARM

B O O M B O X had heard of our Master Grower and were impressed with our genetics program so they asked us to create a strain for their upcoming summer tour. I created the logo and co-created the marketing campaign while also doing the photography and social media. We then released the strain the weekend of their first headlining show at Red Rocks.

Y O N D E R M O U N T A I N S T R I N G B A N D reached out to us to create an exclusive strain specifically for the band. They came up with the qualities they wanted in the strain and we catered the branding to match that. I came up with the name, logo, apparel, social media and marketing approach, designed to have a mountain lifestyle vibe and fit with the bluegrass audience and culture.

SOCIAL MEDIA

When I was hired at The Farm, their social media presence was basic at best. The process for posting was scattered and we were lacking on any sort of engagement.

I implemented social media management software for consistent posting, clever captioning and created a custom border. After only 6 months, our followers and engagement doubled.

With our content having a wide variety of posts, I created this wooden border to bring a unique and cohesive feeling to our Instagram page.

One of Sensi's unique business building strategies is staging community events throughout the year for their business partners. These industry-shaping B2B and consumer-focused events (ranging anywhere from 500 to 5,000 people), connect their partners to advertisers, business leaders and savvy consumers. I helped them to create a design standard for advertising these events on both a print and digital level, which helped them to replicate the event advertising across multiple states.

For Sensi nights and launches, I would create a 8.5"x11" flyer, 11"x17" poster, Sensi Magazine ad, Facebook event cover photo, Eventbrite cover photo, Instagram post, and blog image. By creating all these, the Marketing Director and myself were able to capture a large audience and averaged around 5,000 RSVP's throughout each campaign.

As Sensi continued to grow, they needed me to create and design internal documents that involved everything from employee training manuals to event packets and confidential investor & executive presentations. These internal docs started out as basic Microsoft Word docs and my task were to take those files and turn them into something more engaging and branded.

Through this process, I was able to help Sensi gain valuable brand loyalty and market value on both a B2B and B2C level. As a result, Sensi has grown to become one of the nations most reputable magazines within the cannabis and alternative lifestyle demographic. As a team, we were able to win multiple awards and accolades within the first 3-4 years of the company's launch.

When I was hired by Ananta, one of the first major projects was to redesign their website from a landing page to a full-fledged website. I worked closely with the web developer to create a custom website geared towards getting clients, educating energy entrepreneurs and business owners on how they can save money on energy, and also showcasing Ananta's efforts to sponsor AVP volleyball players.

The main goal of the website was to have a site that was easily navigable and got straight to the point with the fewest clicks, allowing current or prospecting clients to find the information they need, quickly and efficiently. We also are working on a custom client CRM which allows our clients to view all their energy data in one place, which is somewhat ground breaking within the energy brokering industry.

Before coming to Ananta, they did very little marketing to the public. Most business was generated through cold-calls and referrals. I helped them begin to build a marketing strategy through doing print ads, sales kits and event advertising. Above showcases a case study they use in a sales kit, a general 8.5"x11" flyer they hand out to businesses , and a 6' tall retractable banner for events and conventions.

Ananta doesn't do too much digital advertising just yet, but I have helped them to create a structure and standard for reaching out to customers digitally. I implemented a quarterly newsletter as well as branded social media posts. As Ananta grows, this has been an integral part in creating a strong brand. By designing the digital materials to match the print materials, I've helped them to create a more cohesive and strong brand within the energy brokering industry.

Lucy Sky is a cannabis boutique in the Denver/ Metro area. As Creative Director, I helped to turn this once "mom & pop shop" into a luxury-styled brand, providing the best cannabis products in Colorado. This involved a whole rebranding and storewide renovation, which boosted sales and gained a higher quality of customer.
