Studio Brief 3 Project Report

Theme: Harry Potter

Theme: Hippie

Theme: Maori Warrior

Theme: Game of Thrones

These are the character designs I made according to the theme the character design challenge provide monthly on characterdesignreferences.com Besides the first one I was able to submit my character designs with no issue. This competition was useful as my last design for Game of Thrones got the most attention from other designers which can be due to the difference in art style.

Skyrim, Greybeard

One Piece, Franky

God of War, Kratos

Ajin, Black Ghost

These are the main character references I used in helping me create my character designs on each theme. Using them to create the combinations I made in my designs: a Death Eater from Harry Potter and Greybeard, a Hippie and Franky, a Maori Warrior and Kratos, Night King from Game of Thrones and Black Ghost.

Problems

Up to Something

These are animations I made according to the audio provided by the 11 Second Club monthly on www.11secondclub.com Unlike the first one I was able to successfully submit my second animation (Up to Something). This is alright since my second animation demonstrates better lip syncing then my first animation (Problems).

Problems, character drafts

Reference from my turn around

For Problems I made a character design sheet which shows the development towards the character design I used for my animation, especially when the male character looked too similar to a character I influenced him from (Spike from Cowboy Bebop). For Up to Something I referenced back to a previous character design I used for a character turn around.

The BFG

The Witches

James and the Giant Peach

These are final designs for scenes in Roald Dahl’s books for a brief provided by YCN on www.ycn.org In this brief I was tasked to form a collaborative group with other students from different courses. I managed to make a group with illustrators and together we discussed and developed our ideas to create these final designs.

These are examples of what was used to create the final designs
