THE THEME GIVES A MEANINGFUL CONTEXT AND ADDS DEPTH TO THE PROGRAMMING OF THE FESTIVAL.
Það tengir og speglar annars óskylda viðburði á áhugaverðan hátt. Sumar tengingarnar eru með ráðum gerðar. Aðrar eru óvæntar, þær liggja eins og fíngerður vefnaður inn á milli og allt um kring og bíða þess að verða uppgötvaðar.
It reflects and interlinks otherwise unrelated events. Some of these connections are intentional. Others are unexpected, like finely woven threads to be discovered inbetween and all around.

Í verkum sínum varpar listafólk hátíðarinnar upp spurningum um tengsl manns og náttúru, rætur og rótleysi, sjálfsmyndina og mennskuna. Það spyr hvaðan við komum og hvert við erum komin. Það ögrar okkur með spurningum um heimilisleysi, mörk og landamæri, heima sem mætast og líf sem snertast.

Through their works, the festival’s artists ask important questions about the relationship between man and nature, roots and rootlessness, identity and humanity. They ask where we come from and where we have come to. They challenge us with questions about homelessness, boundaries and borders, worlds that meet and lives that touch.
