Constantin LUPU, Emilian GHICIOI INSEMEX Petroşani - 60 de ani de experienţă în domeniul protecţiei la explozie INSEMEX Petroşani - 60 Years Experience in Explosion Protection As INCD INSEMEX Petroşani carries out its activity in a very important domain, the top management has take all the necessary measure to produce and implement a quality system for the activities related to the certification of products, of personnel, etc.

All through the years the experts of INCD INSEMEX Petroňani have taken part in the development of regulations and sets of demands for assurance of occupational health and safety during the activities carried out in atmospheres with hazards of explosive and / or toxic risks.

INCD INSEMEX Petroşani has transposed the European standards in the Romanian legislation, these standards relate to the equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres, explosive materials, personal protection equipment, machinery, environment, professional training, mining industry.

Emilian GHICIOI, Mihaela PĂRĂIAN, Tiberiu IACOB RIDZI, Niculina VĂTAVU, Leonard LUPU, Adrian JURCA Aplicarea noilor instrumente de evaluare a echipamentelor neelectrice folosite în minele grizutoase conform Directivei Europene ATEX 94/9/EC, adoptată în România prin Hotărârea de Guvern nr. 752/2004 Implementing New Tools for The Assessment of Non-Electrical Equipment Used in Underground Mines, in Accordance with The European Directive ATEX 94/9/EC, Adopted in Romania by Government Decision No. 752/2004 The new tools for assessment of non-electrical Ex equipments consist in the series of specific procedures for evaluating and connected testing procedures.

The series of mentioned procedures are based on the harmonized European norms, adopted in Romania, which are included in SREN 13463 standard series and deal “Non electrical equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres”.

The assessment procedures are elaborated and implemented into Product Certification Body INSEMEX OEC, notified at Bruxelles for ATEX Directive. Also, the testing procedures are elaborated and implemented into Laboratory for Testing in Explosive atmospheres LIEx. The new tools for assessment of non-electrical equipment could be applied to mining equipment classified in group I, categories M1 and M2.

Up to now, our institute for mining safety and explosion proof protection has developed facilities for the following types of protection: - Protection by flow-restricting enclosure (fr); - Protection by flame-proof enclosure (d); - Protection by constructional safety (c).

Aplicarea metodei de prevenire a combustiilor spontane bazat pe aerosoli de inhibitori tip clorură de zinc la abatajul cu banc subminat a cărbunelui nr. 74 la E.M. Lonea Methodes for Preventing Spontaneous Combustion by The Help of The Zinc Chloride Inhibitore Applied on The Working with Undemined Bed No. 74 at Lonea Mine Unit Spontaneous combustion represents a major risk during coal mining. It can trigger fires, with adverse effects both from a material point of view and with human losses.

The study of coal deposits combustion, of the mechanism that triggers spontaneous combustion and the mining method has led to the occurrence of this combustion. It relies on the conveyance of zinc chloride sprayed particles into goals and into fissures in the coal back.

These particles diminish coal tendency to self-ignition with more then 90% thus diminishing the possible occurrence of spontaneous combustions.

The test have passed the laboratory stage and now are process of implementation in industry at mines.

The researches carried out by the experts of INCD - INSEMEX Petrosani together with the experts of CNH Petrosani have materialized into a method that is being used to diminish coal tendency to self - ignition. The tests carried out on the stand at INCD-INSEMEX Petrosani with coal samples from the Jiu Valley coalfield and treated with chemical substances, have underlined a cease of oxidation before reaching coal self-ignition. Coal tehdency to selfignition. Coal tendency to self-ignition diminished with around 90%.

This method was tested at Lonea mine - on the working with undermined bed no. 74, layer no.

performed based on the HG 246/2007 on the methodology for renewal of permits in relation to the classification of the working places with special conditions that changes the validity of these permits until 31.12.2009.

This paper shows the results and the analysis of results gained at the working places with special conditions, the methods used to diminish the risks/ poisonous particles whether the maximum admitted concentration is exceeded and the adverse influence of powders over workers health.

Attila KOVACS, Daniela - Carmen RUS, Ştefan ILICI Determinarea vitezei de detonaţie a explozivilor, parametru balistic esenţial pentru evaluarea calităţii explozivilor Determination of The Detonation Velocity of Explosives, Ballistic Parameter Essential for The Assessment Quality of Explosives Measuring the detonation velocity is a difficult operation considering the size of the parameter (the detonation velocity of the mass of explosive which is of the order of thousands of meters per second) and the destructive effects of measuring instruments.

The detonating wave is characterized by several parameters such as detonation velocity, pressure at the detonating wave front, explosive gas density and temperature of explosion, of which the most relevant is the velocity of detonation.

Over time, researchers have developed several methods for determining the detonation speed in the mass of explosive material.

In principle, some of the methods described in the literature and applied in the past, at INSEMEX are analyzed below.

The following psycho physiological aims are being intended during the training classes: learning the motric habits, developing the physical and psychic skills related to the motric activity: speed, force, stamina, abilities, will power, perseverance, self confidence, courage, determination, initiative.

The principles related to the training process rely on pedagogical, hygienically and physiological rules.

The human body can incrase its functional parameters in daily training sessions that intend a general development of these parameters.

There are several types of training that should take into consideration the rescuer’s health sessions being necessary a process of customization.

The central nervous system supports the learning of motric habits and their subsequent development; it can increase the efficiency of the body functions and thus, the locomotors apparatus can reach a high output.

Nevertheless, the calculated type evaluation of the source with intrinsic safety for protection to explosion is ambiguous because the standard in force for the intrinsic safety protection doesn’t address dearly the sources with non-linear characteristics.

Case Study on The Mine Electricians Working in The Jiu Valley This paper intends to determine the relevant psychic process used for a successful accomplishment of tasks involved by the following one occupations: mine electrician.

There have been settled a series of cognitive, psychomotor and sensory capabilities that are to be evaluated. The evaluation has been made by a group of experts. The experts are “the occupants of the working places, supervisors, trainers, labour analysts or other individuals accustomed to the working place under study”.

There has been drawn up a set of evaluations for each profession apart: mine electrician.

The evaluations were made both collectively and individually, strictly observing, the norms on the presentation the briefing and of instructions regarding the evaluation of capabilities.

Each assessor got a record card that included the capabilities to be evaluated and a note-book that contained a presentation of them.

There were calculated the average grades for each capability and profession apart, based on the grades assigned by the expert assessors.

Octavia BARON, Vasilica Irina BULIGA, Andrei SZÖLÖSI-MOTA Proprietăţile explozive ale GPL de uz casnic (aragaz) Explosive Properties of Domestic Use LPG (For Domestic Cookers) This article shows the results of tests intended to determine the explosivity and detonation domains of mixtures, between LPG and air. There were also determined the explosion pressures and velocities for the tested mixtures.

The results of these tests shall represent a database intended to lay the scientific foundations for determining the causes that lead to explosions triggered by LPG, together with the preventive measures.
