Posiblemente este sea el único lugar del mundo donde se puede llamar a un número de teléfono local y recibir el reporte de surf del día. Y, según los expertos, las playas de Waikiki están entre las más recomendadas para los novatos en este deporte. En cambio, los profesionales aprecian las playas del norte de la isla cuyas olas alcanzan hasta doce metros de altura.

But for several reasons the most visited island by world travelers is Oahu. The multicultural flair of Hawaii is strongly expressed in Oahu, the most densely populated island and considered to be the heart of the State. If you visit you can´t miss the legendary Waikiki: the two-anda-half kilometers of coastline stretching south of Oahu is the most famous destination in Hawaii. This is probably the only spot in the world where you can call a local number to get the surfing condition report on a daily basis. And according to the experts, the Waikiki beaches are the most recommended ones for sport´s beginners. Instead, professional surfers prefer the northern beaches of the island whose waves tower twelve meters high.
