Abstract Introduction: Mujeres y hombres y viceversa is the paradigm of Spanish dating shows. Followed by a broad adolescent and youth audience, the programme violates seriously the General Law of Audiovisual Communication. This case study is an example of gender violence apology in which one of its contestans was involved in. Methodology: Its been carried out a qualitative and quantitative analysis of 45 chapters of the TV prograrmme which have been checked against applicable laws. In all, over 52 hours of content have been analysed. Results and discussion: The data show that the programme incites gender discrimination, its infringes people digniyy and shows examples of gender violence. Proved crimes, which however, went impunished in spite of the complaints and demonstrations. Keywords dating shows; trash television; gender-base violence; adolescence; youth; sexism. Contens 1.
