Jordan Ryan is a PhD student in the Department of Religious Studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. His primary areas of study are early Christianity and early Judaism, with a specific emphasis on the life of Jesus and his involvement with early synagogues in the Galilee. He is currently working on a dissertation titled “Politics of the Sacred: Jesus and the Political Institutions of His Day – Temple and Synagogue.”
