“ L’Association des Amis du Salon D’Automne de Paris ha otorgado el Premio de Arquitectura al arquitecto peruano Javier Artadi por su obra al lado del mar en la costa peruana, en la Exhibición Internacional de Arte y Arquitectura Salon D’Automne 2021.

L

a curaduría de arquitectura del Salon D’Automne invitó a cuatro estudios de arquitectura de distinto países para que fueran los expositores este año (dos estudios españoles, uno francés y uno peruano).

Iniciándose en el año 1903 con el objetivo de conseguir el encuentro plural de todas las artes, el Salon D’Automne

ha sido uno de los primeros eventos que históricamente convocaron a arquitectos de vanguardia para que presentaran su obra sin restricciones temáticas o tipológicas.

Son famosas ahí las exhibiciones de Le Corbusier de 1922, donde muestra sus ideas de ciudad moderna y de 1923, donde presentó sus nuevos tipos y modelos de casas.”

EDITORIAL Excepcionalmente, este número de ARKINKA abarca varios proyectos de Foster and Partners dedicados al alojamiento de tiendas APPLE en varias localidades globales.

Elegimos esta posibilidad porque encontramos interesante que abarcara un repertorio comercial corporativo de una amplia exposición internacional dedicado a una de las empresas que mejor representa una de las mutaciones más trascendentales del empresariado contemporáneo, una marca que ciertamente se ubica entre las preferidas por la actividad de la arquitectura y el diseño.

Ciframos también nuestro interés en el hecho de que APPLE hubiera elegido hace ya algunos años a Foster and Partners como los arquitectos de todos sus locales comerciales, una decisión que acarrea unas implicancias que atañen seriamente a la actualidad y al futuro del quehacer arquitectónico. Esta inquietud se asocia a la que en muchos sentidos ha venido esgrimiéndose críticamente desde muchas atalayas periodísticas y desde muchos enclaves filosóficos recientemente. El creciente cuestionamiento de los nocivos efectos sociales y psicológicos que van haciéndose cada vez más notables a medida que la humanidad va enviciándose con su adicción al orden digital pone de manifiesto – como en tantos otros aspectos de la evolución cultural que nos ha englobado inconscientemente – que la sociedad contemporánea viene desplazándose a una dependencia que, habiendo ya mermado considerablemente un potencial intelectual fraguado a lo largo de siglos de meditaciones y confrontaciones, parece haber encontrado en la indolencia que le facilita popularmente el medio digital, una modalidad que lo exime de tener que enfrentar la realidad existencial con la energía y la inquietud que demanda su complejidad e impredictibilidad. Porque al haber, tanto APPLE como Foster and Partners conciliado una estrategia de comunicación visual que sirva, tanto al apetito seductivo del orden digital, como a una identidad estilística esencialmente motivada, tanto por la exigencia comercial de uno de los demandantes digitales globales más voraces, como por una de las corporaciones arquitectónicas más potentes y absorbentes, han establecido sordamente una melosa y lúdica alianza entre los fundamentos intelectuales, creativos y morales de una humanidad que les ha transferido frívolamente las responsabilidades de su propia cautela y sólida supervivencia. Lo antedicho alude sobre todo, claro está, a la difusión irrestricta y hedonista de un recurso que aparentemente nos exime de los valores de la introspección, la reflexión y, sobre todo, la importancia de afrontar nuestras propias carencias emocionales e intelectuales a partir de la movilidad y recursos que nos aporta nuestro propio imaginario, nuestra confrontación con aquella inexplicable realidad que permanentemente nos confronta con las ilimitadas complejidades de nuestra propia vida, y la de la naturaleza que debiera cobijarnos.

Un edificio constituye un artificio que puede obrar tanto como un motivador del desafío que representa el encontrar los asideros que nos atenúen las agobiantes incertidumbres que embargan nuestras vidas, como el narcótico que nos embote para evitar tener que confrontar nuestra intimidad y nuestro entorno. Es así como la arquitectura en nuestra época ha sucumbido a la seducción que ficcionalmente nos succiona a espejismos filosóficamente hedonistas, a complacencias que nos eximen de tener que reconocernos a través de las evidencias que subyacen a lo esencial de nuestra condición humana.

Podrá apreciarse en los siete proyectos que restrictivamente nos ha permitido publicar Foster and Partners el sentido melifluo, complaciente, seductor y ecléctico que los caracteriza (no se nos han brindado planos ni detalles).

Siendo quien sabe la más grande firma de arquitectura global, no puede tomarse esa sensualidad como un factor incidental, sobre todo cuando Foster + Partners se inició hace ahora más de medio siglo como una de las entidades profesionales más desafiantes e inventivas de nuestra época. Allí están la Mediateca de Nimes, el edificio del banco HSB en Hong Kong, o la renovación del British Museum en Londres, para contrastar su sumisión a la cibernética con su emergencia original tan humanista y encarnada.

EDITORIAL Exceptionally, this issue of ARKINKA covers several FOSTER AND PARTNERS projects dedicated to hosting APPLE stores in various global locations.

We chose this possibility because we find it interesting that it encompasses a corporate commercial repertoire of a wide international exhibition dedicated to one of the companies that best represents one of the most transcendental mutations of contemporary business, a brand that is certainly among those preferred by the activity of architecture and design.

We also cipher our interest in the fact that APPLE had chosen FOSTER AND PARTNERS a few years ago as the architects of all its commercial premises, a decision that carries implications that seriously affect the present and future of the architectural endeavor. This concern is associated with the one that in many ways has been used critically from many journalistic watchtowers and from many philosophical enclaves recently. The growing questioning of the harmful social and psychological effects that are becoming more and more noticeable as humanity becomes addicted to the digital order shows - as in so many other aspects of cultural evolution that have unconsciously encompassed us - that Contemporary society has been moving towards a dependency that, having already considerably diminished an intellectual potential forged over centuries of meditations and confrontations, seems to have found in the indolence that the digital medium popularly facilitates, a modality that exempts it from having to face existential reality with the energy and restlessness demanded by its complexity and unpredictability.

Because both APPLE and FOSTER AND PARTNERS have reconciled a visual communication strategy that serves both the seductive appetite of the digital order and a stylistic identity essentially motivated, both by the commercial demands of one of the most voracious global digital demanders, as by one of the most powerful and absorbing architectural corporations, they have dully established a honeyed and playful alliance between the intellectual, creative and moral foundations of a humanity that has frivolously transferred the responsibilities of its own caution and solid survival to them. The aforementioned refers above all, of course, to the unrestricted and hedonistic diffusion of a resource that apparently exempts us from the values of introspection, reflection and, above all, the importance of facing our own emotional and intellectual deficiencies from the mobility and resources that our own imagination gives us, our confrontation with that inexplicable reality that constantly confronts us with the limitless complexities of our own life, and that of nature that should shelter us.

A building constitutes an artifice that can act as much as a motivator of the challenge represented by finding the handles that attenuate the overwhelming uncertainties that overwhelm our lives, as well as the narcotic that dulls us to avoid having to confront our privacy and our environment. This is how architecture in our time has succumbed to the seduction that fictionally sucks us into philosophically hedonistic mirages, to complacencies that exempt us from having to recognize ourselves through the evidences that underlie the essentials of our human condition.

The mellifluous, accommodating, seductive and eclectic sense that characterizes them can be appreciated in the seven projects that FOSTER AND PARTNERS has restrictively allowed us to publish (no plans or details have been provided). Being who knows the largest global architecture firm, that sensuality cannot be taken as an incidental factor, especially when FOSTER AND PARTNERS began now more than half a century ago as one of the most challenging and inventive professional entities of our time. Considering the Nimes Media Library, the HSB bank building in Hong Kong, or the renovation of the British Museum in London, to contrast its submission to cybernetics with its original emergence so humanistic and embodied.

hamps-Élysées es una de las avenidas más famosas del mundo. Es una celebración de la vida urbana parisina y personifica el espíritu atemporal de esta gran ciudad. Los ornamentados edificios de estilo Beaux-Art que bordean el famoso bulevar arbolado han sido sinónimo de la vida parisina durante siglos. Aprovechando la energía y la vitalidad del paseo histórico, Apple ChampsÉlysées captura la esencia de esta bulliciosa metrópolis al crear un cour intérieure (patio interior) único dentro de un apartamento parisino por excelencia, entretejiendo cuidadosamente varias capas de historia con contemporáneo, lleno de luz y espacios acogedores. El patio lleva la vitalidad del paseo histórico al interior del edificio, creando una experiencia interior única que está llena de vida y energía.

hamps-Élysées is one of the most famous avenues in the world. It is a celebration of Parisian urban life and epitomizes the timeless spirit of this great city. The ornate Beaux-Art style buildings that line the famous tree-lined boulevard have been synonymous with Parisian living for centuries. Tapping into the energy and vitality of the historic promenade, Apple Champs-Élysées captures the essence of this bustling metropolis by creating a unique cour intérieure (interior courtyard) within a quintessential Parisian apartment, carefully interweaving several layers of history with contemporary, light-filled and inviting spaces. The courtyard pulls the vitality of the historic promenade deep into the building, creating a unique interior experience that is full of life and energy.

Situated on the corner of ChampsÉlysées and Rue Washington, the surviving original detailing of the historic building has been carefully restored and seamlessly incorporated within the design, sympathetically juxtaposed with dynamic contemporary interior spaces. The entrance is via a beautiful 19th century Parisian passage, with display spaces on either side.

Conduce a un patio recientemente revivido con grandes árboles maduros que crean un entorno casi externo y natural y una luz de techo solar Kaléidoscope única, con pirámides espejadas que reflejan la luz del sol moteada en las fachadas internas y el piso debajo. El Kaléidoscope, cubierto por paneles fotovoltaicos arriba, refleja imágenes fragmentadas de la estructura del edificio circundante cuando miras hacia arriba desde el interior del patio, haciendo referencia a la tradición cubista. El efecto cambia durante el día y la noche y a medida que te mueves por el edificio, ofreciendo una nueva experiencia desde cada rincón. Este espacio inspirador albergará el Foro, donde expertos de diversos campos entretendrán, inspirarán y enseñarán a los visitantes en los eventos de Today at Apple. Adyacente al patio hay espacios más tranquilos, paredes verdes y asientos, creando el lugar ideal para que los visitantes se detengan y descansen.

It leads to a newly revived courtyard with large mature trees that create an almost external and natural setting and a unique Kaléidoscope solar roof-light, featuring mirrored pyramids that reflect dappled sunlight onto the internal façades and floor below. The Kaléidoscope – covered by photovoltaic panels above – reflects fragmented images of the surrounding building fabric when you look up from within the courtyard, referencing the Cubist tradition. The effect changes throughout the day and night and as you move through the building, offering a new experience from every corner. This inspirational space will host the Forum, where experts from various fields will entertain, inspire and teach visitors at Today at Apple events. Adjacent to the courtyard are calmer spaces, green walls and seating, creating the ideal place for visitors to pause and rest.

Internally, a beautifully restored original timber and marble escalier d’honneur (grand staircase) leads up to the floors above. Initially designed as a collection of appartement bourgeois, the building has gone through several incremental changes throughout its lifetime, and the design aims WWW.ARKINKA.COM.PE

Las últimas adiciones al edificio se han reinventado por completo, creando una yuxtaposición dinámica de lo nuevo y lo antiguo. Esta transferencia en capas de escala y estilo permite a los visitantes apreciar la historia de la ubicación, a medida que pasan por las áreas de exhibición en diferentes salas, captando destellos enmarcados del tejido histórico de los espacios contemporáneos y viceversa. Cada una de las habitaciones tiene balcones que se abren a los Campos Elíseos, con el telón de fondo de París y vistas a la Torre Eiffel.

to revive the original spirit by restoring the detailing and interconnected spaces of the 19th century Parisian apartment. The later additions to the building have been completely reimagined, creating a dynamic juxtaposition of new and old. This layered transference of scale and style allows visitors to appreciate the history of the location, as they pass through the display areas in different rooms, catching framed glimpses of the historic fabric from the contemporary spaces and vice-versa. Each of the rooms has balconies that open onto the Champs-Élysées, against the backdrop of Paris and views of the Eiffel Tower.

entering the store are treated to a magical experience, surrounded by glowing stone panels that shimmer throughout the day as the sun brings them to life, while at night the cube radiates a warm glow, contrasting against the bright lights of Macau. The firstof-its-kind glass-stone composite façade comprises five layers of glass integrated with incredibly thin layers of stone, which gives the building its distinctive materiality – appearing as translucent stone walls, akin to stained-glass. The structural frame is supported by just three corner columns wrapped in mirrored stainless-steel that reflect the patterns and colors of the façade, dematerializing the structure and blending seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

The interior is designed as the exact spatial inverse of the plaza, with a quiet bamboo grove carved from the forest outside and placed under the soaring central atrium. It is capped by a large central skylight with punched pyramidical apertures that brings natural light deep into the interior spaces. The ground level is wrapped in a glazed façade that looks

onto a layered bamboo screen, providing a heightened sense of enclosure, while blurring the boundaries between the inside and outside. At the far end of the store is a 35-foot by 15-foot (10.6-meter by 4.5-meter) video wall. Adjacent to the video wall is an axial entrance from the adjacent retail areas and casino, drawing people to the interior.

Two grand stone staircases lead to the upper level, lit by skylight strips that bring in filtered natural light. Display tables are arranged around the central atrium looking onto the bamboo grove below.

The composite glass-stone façade wraps around the entire upper level, creating a soft internalized environment that exudes a sense of calm and serenity. A second internal axial entrance on the upper level provides a spacious stepped connection from the mall. Arranged around a generous entrance atrium, it creates visual connections between both levels of the store.

A celebration of the joys of city life and embodying its dynamic nature, the signature water feature is an interactive, multisensory experience. Visitors enter the fountain through a glass-covered entrance enveloped by the sights and sounds of vertical jets of water that splash against the 26-foot high glass walls. An immersive recreation of the childhood game of running through fountains, the experience changes throughout the day as sunlight filters

The fountain flows down into the base of the Amphitheatre, a new social hub and an outdoor extension of ‘Today at Apple’.

The Amphitheater is defined by broad and sun-soaked stone steps descending below street level and opening up to a stage, backed by a second fountain’s wall of water.

The entire plaza is newly created and paved with Beola Grigia – a typical local stone from Lombardy, and surrounded by 21 new Gleditsia Sunburst trees.

The interior is a bright, monolithic space, metaphorically carved out of the same stone as the plaza above. The

Through the roof and stairs, warm shafts of sun penetrate deep into the sunken store, connecting the interior with the light and rhythm of Milan and giving it a feel of a spacious daylightfilled art gallery. l rediseño de la tienda de Apple Regent Street en Londres marca la evolución continua de Apple, yendo más allá del comercio minorista para crear experiencias más ricas y dinámicas para los visitantes. Regent Street es una de las calles comerciales más famosas del mundo y el lugar donde Apple abrió su primera tienda minorista en Europa en 2004. La nueva tienda ocupa el mismo edificio, con la fachada histórica catalogada como Grado II ahora restaurada y conservada.

Característico de las nuevas tienda insignia de Apple, el espacio interior es un gran salón de 7.2 metros de doble altura, que forma un espacio similar a una 'plaza de la ciudad' que es flexible y acogedor. El diseño mejora la transparencia de la calle e inunda la tienda con luz natural, mejorando drásticamente la conexión visual entre los dos niveles. La fachada interior, con sus arcos de altura total revestidos en piedra Portland, se puede apreciar en toda su extensión. he re-imagining of Apple Regent Street in London marks the continuing evolution of Apple, going beyond retail to create richer, more dynamic experiences for visitors. Regent Street is one of the most famous shopping streets in the world, and the site where Apple opened its first retail store in Europe in 2004. The new store occupies the same building, with the Grade II listed historic façade now restored and preserved.

Characteristic of the new Apple Flagships, the interior space is a 7.2-metre doubleheight grand hall – forming a 'town square' like space that is flexible and welcoming.

The design enhances transparency from the street and floods the store with natural light, dramatically improving the visual connection between the two levels. The interior front facade, with its full height arches clad in Portland stone, can be appreciated in its full extent. The store also features the longest Luminous Ceiling Panels in the world that cover the entire ceiling. The custom-made lighting panels emit a pure, even, white light, and have the capability to absorb ambient noise.

Using a warm palette of materials including stone, wood and terrazzo that is sympathetic to the historic nature of the building, the store has a calm setting, with the increased height allowing for the addition of twelve Ficus Ali trees on the ground level, bringing nature to the interior spaces. The groves of trees have planters that double as a comfortable place to sit and rest.

The signature Apple display tables are set against the backdrop of the new Avenue – the completely redesigned wall display that allows people to touch, feel and try out the Apple products and accessories in an engaging and hands-on way. Located in the middle of the space, The Forum is a new learning environment, where experts from various fields can come to entertain, inspire and teach. It occupies a prime position in the store with a vast video wall that acts as an animated backdrop for the entire store.

Along the side walls, a staircase on either side of the screen draws one up to the new mezzanine level set amongst the treetops. The walls and staircases are made from sandblasted stone, while the balustrade – seemingly carved in to the wall – has a smooth, curved, and honed finish that is pleasant to touch. The design seeks to reinvigorate one of LA’s most historic movie theaters by giving the building a new purpose and restoring its lost glory. The unveiling of Apple Tower Theatre is a significant part of the larger urban regeneration of downtown LA that will strengthen urban retail and community life in this part of the city.

The design is the result of a close collaboration between the design teams at Apple and Foster + Partners.

Designed in 1927 by prolific motion picture theater designer, S Charles Lee, Tower Theatre was the first movie theater in Los Angeles built to show talking movies. The design restores the distinctive clock tower and exterior terracotta facades, enhances historic interiors and improves the marquees and the Broadway Street elevation, while upgrading accessibility to ensure the building will survive and serve the community long into the future.

Stefan Behling, Head of Studio, Foster + Partners, said: “I believe that people love being with people. This is the basis for urbanity all around the world. Apple Tower Theatre will be a new beacon of optimism and resilience for the city and a vote of confidence in Downtown LA. The central dome of the theater’s ceiling has been reinterpreted with a fresco of the calming golden sunshine of the southern Californian sky, adding dynamism and color to the space.

Referencing the golden era of talkies and films, the new Forum reinstates the screen under the proscenium arch. A discreet set of stairs and elevators also bring visitors to the balcony level, which hosts the best seats in the house to view the Forum. The generous leather theater-style seats with integrated electrical and data points are the perfect spot for visitors to relax while they wait for their Genius appointments. At the top of the balcony is the Genius Level. Located just beneath the theater’s projectionist windows, it offers a complete snapshot of the theater in all its restored glory. The Today at Apple will be a new magnet for the public, inspiring people and transforming the entire store, including the upstairs balcony, into a theatrical event space.

a apertura de Apple Union Square en San Francisco marca un paso importante en la evolución continua de Apple, su propósito y su papel en la comunidad local para brindar una experiencia más rica más allá de la venta minorista oportunista. Su diseño innovador permite nuevos niveles de transparencia, apertura y generosidad cívica, incorporando las nuevas funciones y servicios de Apple. Apple Union Square será un modelo para futuros proyectos en todo el mundo.

Apple Union Square presenta cinco características nuevas. 'The Avenue' es un área especialmente diseñada para la exhibición de accesorios incorporados en la pared central. El "Foro", un nuevo entorno de aprendizaje, donde especialistas de diversos campos vienen para entretener, inspirar y enseñar, ocupará una posición central privilegiada en el entrepiso contra un gran muro de video que también actuará como un telón de fondo animado para Union Square más allá. Its innovative design enables new levels of transparency, openness and civic generosity, incorporating Apple’s new features and services.

Apple Union Square will be a model for future projects worldwide.

The Apple Union Square introduces five new features.

‘The Avenue’ is a specially designed area for the display of accessories incorporated into the central spine wall. The ‘Forum’, a new learning environment, where specialists from various fields come to entertain, inspire and teach, will occupy a prime central position on the mezzanine against a vast video wall which will also act as an animated backdrop for Union Square beyond. To the rear of the Forum is the ‘Genius Grove’ with a more relaxed setting amongst a small grove of trees, each within a single planter that doubles as a comfortable place to sit and rest while an Apple Genius answers any questions.

The unique design of the tree planters was a collaboration between Foster + Partners and Apple’s Industrial Design Studio. The ‘Boardroom’ – a place for meetings, conversations and partnerships for local entrepreneurs and enterprises is discreetly placed behind the green wall.

ituado en Via del Corso, una de las calles más vibrantes de la capital de Italia, Apple Via Del Corso devuelve la vida al histórico Palazzo Marignoli. Inspirado en su colorido pasado, el diseño revela la fascinante historia de múltiples capas del edificio al revelar techos pintados y frescos de la década de 1890 yuxtapuestos con grafitis modernos de la década de 1950. Celebrando los murales, ocultos a la vista durante décadas, el nuevo diseño crea un espacio donde la ciudad y la historia realmente se encuentran.

El diseño es el resultado de una estrecha colaboración entre los equipos de diseño de Apple y el equipo integrado de ingeniería y diseño de Foster + Partners.

Stefan Behling, Jefe de Estudio, Foster + Partners, dijo: “La alegría del proyecto fue despegar y redescubrir las capas de la historia en todo el edificio y revelar su pasado ecléctico, que abarca desde los techos históricos pintados y los frescos de Fabio Cipolla, ambos de la década de 1890, hasta los grafitis más recientes de Afro Basaldella. Palazzo Marignoli ha visto mucho a lo largo de su historia y nos sentimos realmente privilegiados de poder ser parte de su nueva etapa de la vida. Especialmente, ya que Roma es una de mis ciudades favoritas del mundo”.

Ubicado en el sitio de un convento del siglo XVI "delle Convertite", el Palazzo Marignoli fue diseñado por el renombrado arquitecto Salvatore Bianchi en 1870 para Filippo Marignoli. Una segunda adición del arquitecto Giulio Podesti en el siglo XIX agregó la fachada principal que vemos hoy. De 1890 a 1955, albergó el famoso Caffè Aragno, un lugar de encuentro de moda para escritores, periodistas y figuras políticas que venían del parlamento vecino.

En la planta baja, dos grandes pinturas del techo llamadas “Dawn” y “Dusk” de Fabio Cipolla y Ettore Ballerini respectivamente, han sido cuidadosamente restauradas e integradas dentro de la nueva tienda. Uno de los hallazgos más emocionantes fueron los múltiples paneles de graffiti creados por el artista Afro Basaldella, contemporáneo de Picasso y uno de los artistas más importantes de Italia, que representan escenas urbanas

ituated on Via del Corso, one of the most vibrant streets in Italy’s capital, Apple Via Del Corso brings the historic Palazzo Marignoli back to life. Inspired by its colorful past, the design reveals the building’s fascinating and multi-layered history by unveiling painted ceilings and frescoes from the 1890s juxtaposed with modern graffiti artworks from the 1950s. Celebrating the murals, hidden from view for decades, the new design creates a space where the city and history truly meet.

The design is the result of a close collaboration between Apple’s design teams and the integrated engineering and design team at Foster + Partners.

Located on the site of a 16th century convent ‘delle Convertite,’ Palazzo Marignoli was designed by renowned architect Salvatore Bianchi in 1870 for Filippo Marignoli. A second addition by the architect Giulio Podesti in the 19th century added the main façade we see today. From 1890 to 1955, it housed the famous Caffè Aragno, a fashionable meeting place for writers, journalists and political figures visiting from the neighboring parliament. La fachada hacia Via del Corso también ha sido cuidadosamente restaurada, sus grandes ventanales permiten vistas a la tienda y hacia un hermoso patio interior. La entrada a la tienda se realiza a través de un pasaje histórico que conduce al patio flanqueado por dos espacios generosos y llamativos que celebran la grandeza del histórico palazzo. Los arcos y bóvedas del pasaje central están revestidos con piedra de Carrara, cuidadosamente seleccionada para combinar con el mármol existente y crear vistas espectaculares que lo llevan a la gran escalera. Estos espacios son un escenario ideal para que todos los clientes se involucren, exploren e inspiren los últimos productos de Apple y las obras de arte que los rodean.

El patio es un vestigio del monasterio del siglo XVI y su jardín, formando un tranquilo corazón verde que ofrece un respiro de la concurrida calle comercial.

Crea un enfoque tranquilo para todo el edificio, visible desde casi todos los rincones de la tienda. Los árboles de Camphora con sus suaves copas ofrecen sombra moteada, creando un ambiente acogedor para los visitantes y vistas frondosas hasta la exuberante terraza del patio en el piano nobile. Los faroles históricos que se encontraron en el sitio han sido cuidadosamente restaurados por especialistas locales utilizando LED de alta eficiencia que imitan la luz de las velas tradicionales.

La monumental escalera construida originalmente por Marignoli para acceder a su residencia en el primer piso conduce al piano nobile, meticulosamente restaurado con sus detalles originales de mármol de Carrara. El lucernario original, sobre el que se construyó durante una remodelación anterior, ha sido restaurado para inundar el espacio con luz artificial que coincide con el tono de la luz natural. El primer piso alberga el Apple Forum dentro del antiguo salón de baile abovedado. El Foro de Apple es el foco de Today at Apple que presenta talleres y eventos.

One of the most exciting finds were the multiple graffiti panels created by the artist, Afro Basaldella – a contemporary of Picasso and one of Italy’s most important artists – depicting urban scenes from Italian cities.

The façade towards Via del Corso has also been carefully restored, its large windows allowing views into the store and towards a beautiful internal courtyard.

Entry to the store is through a historic passage that leads to the courtyard flanked by two generous and striking spaces that celebrate the grandeur of the historic palazzo. The arches and vaults of the central passage are lined with Carrara stone, carefully selected to match the existing marble and create dramatic vistas that lead you to the grand staircase. These spaces are an ideal setting for all customers to engage, explore and be inspired by Apple’s latest products and the artwork that surrounds them.

The courtyard is a remnant of the 16th century monastery and its garden, forming a peaceful green heart offering respite from the busy shopping street. It creates a calm focus for the entire building, visible from almost every corner of the store. The Camphora trees with their soft canopies offer dappled shade, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, and leafy vistas up to the lush courtyard terrace on the piano nobile. The historic lanterns that were found on the site have been carefully restored by

local specialists using high-efficiency LEDs that mimic traditional candlelight.

The monumental staircase built originally by Marignoli to access his residence on the first floor leads you to the piano nobile, meticulously restored with its original Carrara marble detailing. The original skylight which was built over during a previous refurbishment has been restored to flood the space with artificial light that matches the tone of natural daylight. The first floor houses the Apple Forum within the vaulted former ballroom. The Apple Forum is the focus for Today at Apple that features workshops and events.

The space adjacent to the grand ballroom – historically used as a games room – features an elaborate geometrically patterned, hand-painted ceiling, which was discovered during the course of construction. A dedicated team of conservators have worked thousands of hours to restore the ceiling to its former glory. Linking all these rooms is a gallery space that opens up onto a terrace. Inspired by historic Roman roof terraces, the space is filled with fragrant jasmine vines and olive trees, looking down onto the canopy of trees in the courtyard, offering another delightful place for visitors to unwind and relax.

Apple Via del Corso is a celebration of the past and future and delicately articulates the different eras of history, creating a harmonious juxtaposition of old and new, and takes this building with so much history into its next phase of life.

a Apple Store en el nuevo Zorlu Center de Estambul ha sido diseñada en colaboración con Apple y es la primera de una serie de nuevas tiendas en todo el mundo. El proyecto es también el primer edificio en ser completado por la práctica en Turquía.

La tienda está coronada por una espectacular linterna de vidrio iluminada colocada en una piscina reflectante de agua; esto proporciona la pieza central similar a una joya del plano en forma de media luna del centro comercial y actúa como un pozo de luz, atrayendo la luz del día profundamente en los niveles subterráneos.

La linterna es una composición engañosamente simple, pero técnicamente avanzada, de cuatro paneles de vidrio rectangulares, cada uno de diez metros de largo, unidos sin fijaciones mecánicas ni juntas visibles, y cubiertos por una hoja liviana de fibra de carbono opaca. Bajo tierra, la tienda está distribuida en dos niveles y cuenta con las mesas de madera, la barra genial y las paredes de acero inoxidable de Apple, que se han adoptado como estándar para todos los espacios comerciales de la empresa. Los pisos están conectados por un par de espectaculares escaleras de vidrio, que se colocan debajo de dos tragaluces y se apoyan en paredes vidriadas.

he lantern is a deceptively simple, yet technically advanced composition of four rectangular glass panes, each ten metres long, held together without mechanical fixings or visible joins, and covered by a lightweight sheet of opaque carbon fibre.

Below ground, the store is arranged over two levels and features Apple’s signature wooden tables, genius bar and stainless steel walls, which have been adopted as the standard for all of the firm’s retail spaces. The floors are connected by a pair of dramatic glass staircases, which are positioned beneath two skylights and supported by glazed walls.

Daylight is carefully orchestrated throughout, as light is cast through the transparent stairs and store facade, and reflected internally by stainless steel surfaces. The storefront is constructed using nine-metre tall monolithic glass panes which, like the lantern, have no structural fins.

Working alongside one another as an integrated team of designers, architects and engineers, the project has showcased intense innovation in the use of materials and bespoke elements. The luminous ceiling panels, for example, were developed especially for the stores in conjunction with the manufacturers and emit a calm, seamless, even glow. The panels, the largest of which is 27 metres long, conceal acoustic absorbency and to maximise flexibility, can also be easily lowered to allow access to the ceiling above. The result of close collaboration between architect and client, the store is both an expression of Apple’s brand and a beacon for the Zorlu development, with the architecture complementing the purity of form, innovation and ease of use of the products on display.

La luz del día se orquesta cuidadosamente en todas partes, ya que la luz se proyecta a través de las escaleras transparentes y la fachada de la tienda, y se refleja internamente en las superficies de acero inoxidable. POR FREDERICK COOPER-LLOSA Cuestionada o refutada la primera concesión de San Mateo y el Angel, Caravaggio empezó a completar el tríptico con las dos escenas de la vocación y el martirio del santo evangelista. Al cabo de tres siglos y medio no se encuentra un acuerdo para la datación de estas obras. La polémica se reaviva en 1951 con la ocasión de la muestra en Milán. El problema es de importancia fundamental porque es determinante en la cronología de las obras del íntegro del período romano, sea para determinar la fecha del arribo de Caravaggio a Roma así como la duración de su primera estadía.

Las tesis opuestas son aquellas de Roberto Longhi y de Denis Mahon (no en aquellas de Hess seguido de Arslan). Aquella intermedia de Lionello Venturi que se compara, en realidad, más a la primera que aquella insostenible de Hess, incierta en realidad considerablemente al tiempo de la llegada del Caravaggio a Roma. La tesis de Roberto Longhi es notable y la más acreditada.

Sostiene Longhi que la primera condición para “una ópera pública”, coincide con el inicio de la relación del joven pintor con el Cardenal Del Monte, y son aquellas que ponen fin a la miseria del Caravaggio.

La comisión es aquella de San Mateo, cuya primera versión no puede ser contemporánea al Soñador, al Baco ni a la Medusa. El conjunto debe colocarse entre 1591 y 1592. 1591 es la fecha plausible aun para los frescos del pintor El Caballero de Arpino, a la vuelta de la misma capilla. Desde aquí comienza el antagonismo entre el viejo y afortunado maestro y el joven ardiente y aventuroso, como minuciosamente recuerda el Bellori. Deviene una realidad abierta y pareciera sin exclusión de golpes, tanto es así que, de acuerdo a una cita de 1597 de Alpino obtiene, o está cerca de obtener, la convicción para los frescos de la pared. En esta concurrencia interviene pacientemente el pintor Marino, amigo de los dos, proponiendo a de Arpino se añadieran los frescos, y “a Michelle los cuadros al óleo”. Questioned or refuted the first concession of Saint Matthew and the Angel, Caravaggio began to complete the triptych with the two scenes of the vocation and martyrdom of the holy evangelist. After three and a half centuries, no agreement has been found for the dating of these works. The controversy was rekindled in 1951 with the occasion of the exhibition in Milan. The problem is of fundamental importance because it is decisive in the chronology of the works of the entire Roman period, be it to determine the date of Caravaggio's arrival in Rome as well as the duration of his first stay.

The opposing theses are those of Roberto Longhi and Denis Mahon (not those of Hess followed by Arslan). That intermediate of Lionello Venturi that is compared, in reality, more to the first than that unsustainable one of Hess, actually considerably uncertain at the time of Caravaggio's arrival in Rome.

Roberto Longhi's thesis is remarkable and the most accredited.

Longhi argues that the first condition for "a public opera" coincides with the beginning of the young painter's relationship with Cardinal Del Monte, and are those that put an end to Caravaggio's misery.

The commission is that of Saint Matthew, whose first version cannot be contemporary with the Dreamer, Bacchus or Medusa. The set must be placed between 1591 and 1592. 1591 is the plausible date even for the frescoes by the painter El Caballero de Arpino, around the corner from the same chapel. From here begins the antagonism between the old and fortunate teacher and the ardent and adventurous young man, as the Bellori painstakingly recalls. It becomes an open reality and it seems without exclusion of blows, so much so that, according to a quote from 1597 by Alpino, he obtains, or is close to obtaining, the conviction for the frescoes on the wall. Pietrasanta, determinarán que las instalaciones para fijar los cuadros a la pared no estarían preparadas hasta setiembre del 1600, y que habría hecho en marzo de 1602 una tela para San Mateo, de donde deviene la conclusión de Bousqet: parece que la sistematización definitiva no ocurriría sino entre 1600 para los cuadros laterales, en el 1602 para el San Mateo, y en el 1603 para la segunda versión. Esto contradice la cita precedente, si los documentos de Bousqet fueran claros, y no lo son. ntre los tres cuadros que conforman la Historia de San Mateo, que se hallan en la Iglesia de San Luis de los Franceses, ubicada en Roma en la Piazza del Popolo, encuentro aquel que representa el Martirio de San Mateo es el más impactante. Desde la primera vez que lo vi, a comienzos de los años sesenta, quedé sorprendido por el impacto perfecto de la composición. No es usual que una obra de arte asombre a primera vista a un culto de la pintura. Debo decir que antes de ir a San Luis de los Franceses había desarrollado una entusiasta admiración por Caravaggio, primero a partir de la primera experiencia que tuve al conocer en la National Gallery de Londres su espléndida Cena de Emaús, lo que de allí en adelante me impuso documentarme seriamente sobre su obra (adquirir un grueso libro sobre ella que afectó severamente mis modestísimos ingresos de estudiante) y luego dirigirme en cuanto pude a los cuadros que sabía existían en El Louvre. Por qué esa devoción tan súbita y absorbente.

Pienso que algo tendría que ver con ella el hecho que me hubiera recientemente graduado de arquitecto, y que hubiera decidido proseguir estudios de postgrado en Europa en el ámbito de la Historia de la Arquitectura.

Si bien es cierto que la historiografía arquitectónica tiene un variable parentesco con la pictórica, la experiencia que me confirieron maestros insignes como Nikolaus Pevsner, Sir Anthony Blunt, Pierre Francastel, André Chastel y sobre todo Giulio Carlo Argan, despertaron en mí una noción de la arquitectura que contemplaba estrechas relaciones artísticas con la pintura, la escultura, la música, el cine: en otras palabras con el vasto entorno del arte en general.

De allí que el contacto con Caravaggio suscitara en mí un vínculo profesional inmediato. Ello porque su pintura comparte con la arquitectura muchas consonancias indudables, y además porque social y políticamente su obra provoca empatías evidentes con mi oficio. No pretendo por cierto elaborar aquí un ensayo exhaustivo que explique mi vieja adhesión a su extraordinaria obra. Pero sí pretendo reflexionar sobre la que considero la más impactante, el Martirio de San Mateo.

Todo en la composición del cuadro es brillante.

Desde su apreciable tamaño, la confrontación con su formato cuadrangular sobrecoge porque nos enrostra una escena sumida en una oscuridad salpicada de fragmentos de luz que reverberan sobre los cuerpos de personajes de muy diversa escala y contextura. Esta luminosidad salpica la escena en forma centrífuga, teniendo como eje la representación de un adolescente desnudo cuya juvenil anatomía resplandece más que la de los demás personajes, exaltada por el gesto amenazante que lo inclina hacia el cuerpo yacente de San Mateo, que replica al reflejo de su iracundo verdugo proyectándole la blancura más albina de su la parte inferior de su casulla. La expresión feroz del apolíneo verdugo se cruza con la implorante del anciano fraile, un intenso vínculo que Caravaggio enlaza poderosamente extendiendo el brazo estirado del personaje central para coger enardecido la muñeca del santo, arrastrándolo hacia él, mientras que con el brazo derecho levanta una espada que enrosca al movimiento que amenaza la muerte inminente de San Mateo.

Esta coreografía pictórica se ve celebrada por las evoluciones que practican los demás personajes en torno a la figura central del verdugo. En la parte superior derecha un ángel surge de una espesa nube que orbita en el mismo sentido que la figura central, blandiendo una rama de laurel en un claro gesto de dignificación del inminente sacrificio. Debajo del ángel, un muchacho gira en el mismo sentido, profiriendo un grito con una

Why such sudden and absorbing devotion. I think that the fact that I had recently graduated as an architect, and that I had decided to pursue postgraduate studies in Europe in the field of History of Architecture, had something to do with it. Although it is true that architectural historiography has a variable kinship with the pictorial, the experience conferred on me by distinguished masters such as Nikolaus Pevsner, Sir Anthony Blunt, Pierre Francastel, André Chastel and especially Giulio Carlo Argan, awakened in me a notion of the architecture that contemplated close artistic relationships with painting, sculpture, music, cinema: in other words, with the vast environment of art in general.

Hence, contact with Caravaggio created an immediate professional bond in me. This is because his painting shares many undeniable consonances with architecture, and also because socially and politically his work provokes obvious empathy with my job. I certainly do not pretend to elaborate here an exhaustive essay that explains my long-standing adherence to his extraordinary work. But I do intend to reflect on what I consider the most impressive, the Martyrdom of Saint Matthew.

Everything in the composition of the painting is brilliant. From its appreciable size, the confrontation with its quadrangular format is overwhelming because we are faced with a scene plunged into darkness dotted with fragments of light that reverberate on the bodies of characters of very different scale and texture.

This luminosity splashes the scene in a centrifugal way, having as its axis the representation of a naked adolescent whose youthful anatomy shines more than other characters, exalted by the threatening gesture that tilts him towards the recumbent body of Saint Matthew, which replicates the reflection of his irate executioner projecting the more albino whiteness of his lower part of his chasuble. The fierce expression of the Apollonian executioner intersects with the imploring one of the old friar, an intense bond that Caravaggio powerfully binds by extending the outstretched arm of the central character to grasp the saint's wrist, dragging him towards him, while with his right arm he raises a sword that links to the movement that threatens the imminent death of Saint Matthew.

This pictorial choreography is celebrated by the evolutions practiced by the other characters around the central figure of the executioner. In the upper right an angel emerges from a thick cloud that orbits in the same direction as the central figure, brandishing a laurel branch in a clear gesture of dignity of the impending sacrifice. Below the angel, a boy turns in the same direction, uttering a cry with a very anguished expression that is projected from a chiaroscuro of

sublime drama. The two lower angles of the painting are taken by characters who gaze at the central scene.

The one on the left is highlighted by Caravaggio representing his arms resting on two thick, coarse, exquisitely crafted hands. And on the left side of the canvas, shadowy figures highlight the brilliance of the executioner's anatomy, above which a character appears wearing a feathered hat whose face sinks into a delicate gloom.

Caravaggio controls the volatility of the scene by anchoring the torsion of the executioner on a diagonal axis that ascends from left to right, which he balances with the opposite bias that he builds based on the continuity of the arms of the two central protagonists.

The structure in crossed diagonals that it adopts to organize its composition acquires a surprising visual depth, not only because of the way in which it combines a turbulent space, but also and who knows above all because it allows it to display a threedimensional alchemy that masterfully exalts in based on chiaroscuro, that contrapuntal play between lights and shadows that weaves with a very sophisticated virtuosity. Indeed, the meticulous observation of the very rich fabric of the design discovers that the nuances of luminosity and opacity alternate with his exceptional dexterity in applying his brushstrokes.

This concurrence of resources, to enhance the components of its design, impregnates the whole with an intense plasticity, which, when emerging from the tight whirlwind of pictorial resources that finally embodies the religious and humanistic sense that overwhelms the painting, dispenses with its extraordinary content.

To these components is added the naturalness with which he summons the modest roots of his various characters, common people - the social sphere from which Caravaggio came - whom he promotes to a high rank of spirituality by exalting his popular traits. Faces, hands, feet, arms, outfits, colors, textures, glazes, transparencies and many other resources are associated to provide these modest performers with a very rich social density.

Thus disregarding the usual demands of the religious or aristocratic clientele, it promotes the relegated, the marginalized, the miserable - the poor in general - to a spiritual rank that far exceeds the humanistic context of the traditional repertories of mythology, religiosity or social elevation.

As in any authentic work of art, The Martyrdom of Saint Matthew by Michelangelo da Merissi, called The Caravaggio, confronts us with a disturbing mystery, immerses us in an exciting feeling that consciously or unconsciously sucks us in search of its depth, of the mystery of his assertion. Few works of art I have confronted throughout my life that surpass this masterpiece, to say nothing.

expresión muy angustiada que se proyecta desde un claroscuro de un dramatismo sublime. Los dos ángulos inferiores del cuadro están tomados por personajes que observan con miradas absortas la escena central.

Al de la izquierda lo destaca Caravaggio representando sus brazos apoyados sobre dos manos gruesas, toscas, exquisitamente trabajadas. Y hacia el lado izquierdo del lienzo figuras en sombra ponen de relieve el brillo de la anatomía del ajusticiador, por encima de las cuales asoma un personaje que porta un sombrero emplumado cuyo rostro se hunde en una delicada penumbra.

Caravaggio controla la volatilidad de la escena anclando la torsión del verdugo en un eje diagonal que asciende de izquierda a derecha, que equilibra con el sesgo contrario que construye en base a la continuidad de los brazos de los dos protagonistas centrales. La estructura en diagonales cruzadas que adopta por organizar su composición adquiere una profundidad visual sorprendente, no sólo por la manera como a partir de ella conjuga un espacio turbulento, sino también y quien sabe sobre todo porque le permite desplegar una alquimia tridimensional que exalta magistralmente en base al claroscuro, aquel juego contrapuntístico entre las luces y las sombras que urde con un muy sofisticado virtuosismo. En efecto, la observación minuciosa de la riquísima trama del diseño descubre que los matices de luminosidad y de opacidad se alternan con su excepcional destreza para aplicar sus pinceladas. Esta concurrencia de recursos, para valorizar las componentes de su diseño, impregnan al conjunto de una intensa plasticidad, que al brotar del ajustado torbellino de recursos pictóricos que plasman finalmente el sentido religioso y humanístico que embarga al cuadro, le dispensa su extraordinario contenido.

A estas componentes se suma la naturalidad con que convoca a la modesta raíz de sus diversos personajes, gentes del común – al ámbito social de donde provenía Caravaggio – a los que promueve a un alto rango de espiritualidad mediante la exaltación de sus rasgos populares. Rostros, manos, pies, brazos, atuendos, colores, texturas, veladuras, transparencias y muchos otros recursos de asocian para dotar a estos modestos intérpretes de una muy rica densidad social. Desdeñando así las usuales demandas de la clientela religiosa o aristocrática, promueve a los relegados, a los marginados, a los miserables – a los pobres en general - a un rango espiritual que supera ampliamente a la contextura humanística de los repertorios tradicionales de la mitología, la religiosidad o el encumbramiento social.

Como en toda auténtica obra de arte, El Martirio de San Mateo de Michelangelo da Merissi, llamado El Caravaggio, nos confronta con un misterio inquietante, nos sumerge en un sentimiento emocionante que consciente o inconscientemente nos succiona en procura de su profundidad, del misterio de su aseveración. Pocas obras de arte he confrontado a lo largo de mi vida que superen a esta obra maestra, por no decir ninguna.

MORAY, THE LOST TERRITORY

BY AKEMI CABREJOS MATAYOSHI, JENNIFER DURAND, SAMANTHA SEGURA, DEJA VRBNJAK INTRODUCCIÓN El proyecto se realizó en el marco de la AAVS Nanoturismo, un programa experimental de enseñanza, investigación y desarrollo por parte de la AA Visiting School de la universidad Architectural Association, School of Architecture en Londres, Reino Unido. El cual se llevó a cabo en el 2019 en Cuzco, Perú.

El nanoturismo es un concepto que replantea el turismo tradicional basado en una perspectiva crítica, creativa y local.

Como metodología de investigación se utilizó el método PAR: participación, acción e investigación para poder identificar aspectos “ocultos” dentro de un contexto determinado. ¿QUÉ ES MORAY? Moray es un complejo arqueológico que no ha sido investigado a profundidad por lo que representa un gran misterio por resolver.

La primera vez que visitas Moray, te deja deslumbrado debido al impacto visual que te genera y al mismo tiempo te deja con incertidumbre por conocer su historia.

En busca de responder esta interrogante, el equipo decidió realizar una serie de experimentos colaborativos con los visitantes y los habitantes de la zona, en busca de perspectivas para aproximarse al lugar. Estos ejercicios se basaron en las sensaciones, las visiones y el mapeo propio de su entendimiento de los límites del lugar.

A modo de conclusión, se descubrió que los turistas tenían un entendimiento genérico del lugar mientras que los habitantes de la zona tenían un conocimiento más específico y diverso. Se concluyó que Moray son las historias y experiencias actuales de los habitantes locales. Es por todo ello que se propuso visibilizar las historias a través de una propuesta de ruta alternativa.

INTRODUCTION The project was carried out within the framework of AAVS Nanotourism, an experimental teaching, research, and development program of the AA Visiting School of Architectural Association, School of Architecture in London, United Kingdom.

Which took place in 2019 in Cuzco, Peru.

Nanotourism is a concept that rethinks traditional tourism based on a critical, creative, and local perspective. As a research methodology, the PAR method (participation, action, and research) was used to be able to identify “hidden” aspects within a given context.

WHAT IS MORAY? Moray is an archaeological complex that has not been investigated in depth, so it represents a great mystery to be solved.

The first time you visit Moray, it leaves you dazzled due to the visual impact it generates and at the same time leaves you uncertain about knowing its history.

In order to answer this question, the team decided to carry out a series of collaborative experiments with the visitors and the inhabitants of the area, in search of perspectives to approach the place. These exercises were based on the sensations, the visions and the own mapping of his understanding of the limits of the place.

By way of conclusion, it was discovered that tourists had a general understanding of the place while the inhabitants of the area had more specific and diverse knowledge. It was concluded that Moray is the current stories and experiences of the local inhabitants. It is for all this that it was proposed to make the stories visible through a proposed alternative route.

MUYU = LUGAR + HISTORIA + ACCIÓN PARTICIPATIVA Muyu significa círculo en quechua, y en el paisaje de Moray los círculos son la figura geométrica predominante, se descubrió que el círculo tiene muchos significados para el lugar, los habitantes, la agricultura, la economía, entre otros que deben visibilizarse. De tal manera que para la realización del proyecto se escogió utilizar como forma base los muyus.

Su significado para el proyecto conlleva a generar un trabajo colaborativo con los habitantes locales y aprovechar de sus conocimientos sobre el territorio para poder lograr el objetivo de intervenir el paisaje utilizando la naturaleza en sí misma. Es por ello que se trasladó elementos del lugar de un punto a otro como la tierra y la vegetación para generar los muyus en los alrededores de esta zona arqueológica.

MUYU = PLACE + HISTORY + PARTICIPATORY ACTION Muyu means circle in Quechua, and in the Moray landscape circles are the predominant geometric figure, it was discovered that the circle has many meanings for the place, the inhabitants, agriculture, the economy, among others that must be made visible. In such a way that for the realization of the project, it was chosen to use the muyus as a base form.

Its meaning for the project leads to generating collaborative work with the local inhabitants and taking advantage of their knowledge about the territory in order to achieve the objective of intervening in the landscape using nature itself. That is why elements of the place were moved from one point to another, such as the earth and vegetation to generate the muyus in the surroundings of this archaeological zone.

Cada historia recopilada tiene una relevancia para la comunidad y es por ello que se asocia a la escala de intervención de cada muyu. En la fase de investigación se logró recopilar todo un archivo de historias locales ocurridas en zonas específicas de Moray, de las cuales destacan cinco historias. Estas historias tratan acerca del territorio perdido, una leyenda sobre los incas, un mito local, el valor ancestral de la agricultura en Moray y las memorias familiares en la zona.

Además, parte del significado muyu refiere al intercambio de experiencias entre visitantes y habitantes, para lo cual se planteó acciones participativas en cada Muyu como plantar, remover la tierra, entre otros; volviendo a los visitantes agentes participantes.

Es así cómo se construyen experiencias basadas en los muyus como intervenciones en el paisaje, las historias de los habitantes y las acciones participativas. A través de la creación de una guía en español, inglés y quechua, que se le entregaba a cada visitante en donde se mostraban las rutas alternativas de Moray, como una invitación a entender el significado actual de Moray.

Each story collected has relevance for the community and that is why it is associated with the scale of intervention of each muyu. In the research phase, it was possible to compile an entire archive of local stories that occurred in specific areas of Moray, of which five stories stand out.

These stories deal with the lost territory, a legend about the Incas, a local myth, the ancestral value of agriculture in Moray, and family memories of the area.

In addition, part of the muyu meaning refers to the exchange of experiences between visitors and inhabitants, for which participatory actions were proposed in each Muyu such as planting, removing the land, among others; returning visitors participating agents.

This is how experiences based on muyus are built, such as interventions in the landscape, the stories of the inhabitants, and participatory actions. Through the creation of a guide in Spanish, English, and Quechua, which was given to each visitor where the alternative routes of Moray were shown, as an invitation to understand the current meaning of Moray.
