VIOLA Present two contrasting works. A fast and slow movement the level of the Telemann “Concerto in G Major” or Bach “Solo Suite No.1” is highly recommended. Students should also be prepared to play all major scales (two octaves) and an etude that highlights their level of technical development. VOICE All applicants for the major performance area of voice are required to sing from memory two contrasting classical art songs or arias, one in English and one in a foreign language. Selections from Broadway musicals or other popular genres are not appropriate for this audition. Students must provide their own accompaniment. CD players and tape decks will be available for use with taped accompaniments. Accompanists will not be provided.
