A monument for the harbour city and the Netherlands. An ode to the way the Netherlands worked the water into livable land. An ode to living under the sea level.

The monument is an artistic pavilion that can harbour many artistic functions. Open spaces can be furnished for performances or equipped as a gallery.

The Aquatic Cathedral is set in the water the midst of an tidal landscape. The first five meters are set underwater to give the impression that the building is sinking or rose up from the water.

The structure of arches helps natural light flood the building. A skylight ensures full lighting at the top floor of the building a place most suited for performances, A dance performance opens the building, the dance of water.

The functions for this building include Mooring and swimming, a gallery, performances dance and music and official gatherings like a engagement or marriage.

The building set in water, the first five meters, to embody the magic that living under N.A.P. (Dutch general level) And giving the impression that she arose from the Maas.
