Preface

Mas Reva Rizqulloh Putradirdja S. Ars, an architecture undergraduate graduated in August, 2021.

Based in Jakarta. Passionate in fields of design including architecture, interior design, product design, and graphic design. A hardworking, detail oriented, easy to work with person with good communicating skills that is willing to always give the best quality of outputs.

Strongly believe in the idea of correlation and dialogue between space and its user. Therefore, space must not just visually appealling, but fits to its context and user’s needs. Thus, the space remains inside the memory of its users.

Professional Project

Villa Umalas Villa Umalas, a renovation project of a previous private villa that is located in Umalas, which is the residential area of Kerobokan Kelod, Bali. Umalas itself is located between two major tourism destinations: Seminyak and Canggu. Considered its strategic location, Umalas is rarely known for some people. Thus, the owner came up with the idea on starting an accomodation business.

Since the project is for commercial use, the challenge is to make the villa visually appealling and meets the needs of the user. Since the condition of the existing villa is quite unappealling, a new design is placed on the villa parallel to the owner's budget.

To make it visually appealling, the design is based on conducted research of trends and markets.

Villa Renovation Project - 2022 / Umalas, Bali, Indonesia / Status: Under Renovation / Area: 360 M2

The main concept is to make the villa rich in local characteristics yet fits the current trend and market. Making it picturesque in every angle

Bricks are mostly the material that is used as the main language of the design, it is very local and cost friendly.

The walls of the villa remains the same as the existing, zero demolition.

Interiors are carefully designed to make it homey and pleasing to the senses of its user.

The woods are 100% used wood. Reducing cost but still in very good condition.

The villa must also be visually appealing at night time, thus the lighting has to be carefully designed to make another unique sense of space in the dark.

Villa during existing condition, quite not worth selling and doesnt meet the current trend. The new design brings new atmosphere and experience to the space.

Professional Project

AL House This project is an experiment on using different colors to create a fun and playful atmosphere for the newlywed couple.

The house is actually a four story house. Where the design took part is on the first floor and the master bedroom.

The furniture brands chosen to be part of the design: IKEA, KANA Furniture, Dio Living, and some artists artworks.

The challenge is to create a room with various colors but still make it cozy and appealling in an aesthetic manner according to the needs and wants of the owner

Professional Project

The Yellow Showroom The yellow showroom is a interior design work during internship. The function is to create a motorcycle parts company to exhibit their products.

The materials used in the showroom are metal, plastic, and concrete. This corresponds to the material that is also used in the making of motorcycle parts.

Whilst the color yellow, is related to the company's brand identity color.

Professional Project

Senopati Suites This project is an interior visualization for a client that wanted to sell their property. The existing space is not very appealling, just a 'raw' looking space with uncurated furnitures until the owner decided to give a touchup to the space.

The concept of the design visulization is to make the space to compete commercially with others listings. Since the space is located in Senopati Sutes apartment, a luxurious vertical residence. Hence, a modern luxurious design language is the main concept of the design.

The mood of the room is balanced between dark and bright colors which results in modern luxurious look.

University Project

Hita Jimbaran Covid-19 pandemic was the main reason that caused the degradation of Indonesia’s economy during that year, especially the tourism factor in which the Island of Bali is the biggest contributor. During pandemic, the needs of tourist increases. This resort becomes the destination for tourists to have staycation.

On the other hand, Tegal Wangi Beach has an outstanding potential regarding its nature and still refered as a ‘hidden gem’ if compared to other beaches in Bali.

The resort’s main concept is ‘Balinese Genius Loci Fused in Contemporary Style’ with the design that focuses on the orientation towards the sea and sunset, entertainment facilities, and the relation between inside and outside spaces. Thus, the resort is the right choice for a holiday destination.

The materials chosen are in response to the context of the site, where it has to be traditional, natural, and revolutionary.

University Project

Centrum Sudirman Jenderal Sudirman street is aa street that has a long historical path for Bandung. A long time ago, the name given to this street was De Groote Postweg which spans from Asia-Afrika during the Dutch colonization and unites tribes, cultures, and languages at that time. Unfortunately, Sudirman street does not have deep impressions for Bandung citizens as Asia-afrika street and Braga street. The solution to this problem is to design a hotel that has nostalgic embodiment and its historical witness.

“Immersion Through Historical Plot” A unification through historical plot, a grand idea which becomes the underlying line for the hotel’s design.

Bandung city main street spans from Asia-afrika street until Sudirman street. This allow the occurance of historical journey that starts at simpang lima and finishes at the building’s site. c) the starting point of the historical journey (sightseeing) b) the starting point of the development of Bandung during Daendels rule. a) the center of unification, a short break.

This brings the new context after alun-alun, in which hotel is the most suitable function to the site as the place for resting after the long historical journey. The architectural style of the building is the unification of the old colonial and current style.

Streamline Moderne + Contemporary Architectural Style

The unification of the two styles becomes the new identity to the area, as if the colonial style dialogues with the present architectural style. Because of this unification, citizens can see similar style on picture a) and b) with a touch of contemporary style. This indicate that this design does not slip from its historical values and guides to the advancement of time.

The contemporary style of this design resembles on the retail’s structure with an expose steel struss with polycarbonate translucent panel for the facade

The interior of the hotel’s rooms are dominated by dark colors. This will give a warm and inimate embrace to the user.

Competition Project

Dermaga Ni Pollok Dermaga Ni Pollok, a place dedicated to Le Mayeur’s wife. Le Mayeur was a Belgian Painter, until one day he found the love of his life, Ni Pollok, a Balinese dancer.The site is located right in front of Le Mayeur Museum with an outstanding view towards the sea in which we need to respond to its context. The design started out as cutouts through the site has; two entrances, the beach, Le Mayeur Museum. A proportion is also applied to the building so the entrance has maximum transparency during the tourists arrival from the sea. Since this place is dedicated to Le Mayeur’s wife, the building has a romantic yet dramatic environment to accomodate tourists while waiting. Tourists can also reminisce back to the days when Le Mayeur and His wife stood by the beach while wandering the stunning view of the sea.

Competition Project

Nata Lembur The approach of the design is based on Yahintara’s slogan ‘architecture for all’. The building that is also the design object should have extroverted expression and easily accessible for all. Thus, the design’s theme is ‘inclusivity’. The design should have interactive spaces too. The design of the landscape is designed to be dynamic to support the theme. The landscape has micro spaces that allows the formation of or more interactive spaces.

The materials used on the design resembles the locality of the site to save cost, time, and human resources.

Public Space - 2021 / Compeition Entry / Yahintara x Oky Kusprianto Award / Garut, Indonesia / Area 832 M2 / Collaborators: Jerrick Makani and Gilang Pratomo

The space that fits to its context and needs. While material-wise cost friendly. Thus the main idea of hollistic is achieved.

Each programs has different purposes according to the needs of the people. Which my result in flexibility of spaces.

The mosque has an opening that faces towards the rice fields. This creates a natural ventilation and also bring solemnity during prayers.
