Shauna Spenley President of Global Entertainment at Riot Games

Shauna oversees Animation and Live action TV and Film, including the Emmy© Award-winning series Arcane. With an outstanding track record, Shauna has won four Emmys and received five nominations.

With 15 years at Netflix, including roles as Vice President of Marketing and Publicity, Shauna played a pivotal role in Netflix’s growth to 250+ million worldwide subscribers. Katya Saunders Singer-Songwriter & Producer

Born and bred in The Bahamas, singer-songwriter and producer KATYA has traveled the world of sound from a young age. She has fused the R&B, pop, and Caribbean genres she grew up with into a sonic mosaic that can be heard in each of her creations. She is able to hold you captive with her alluring melodies, all while artfully depicting stories of love, trauma, healing, friendship, and a bit of fun.

KATYA has had a headlining show at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, won an Elevation Award for Best New Artist, and performed across the US and the UK. After time spent refining her artistry, rebuilding, and growing, KATYA is returning in her most authentic form yet. Her new sounds have received glowing reception from BBC Radio 1 and the legendary Timbaland. As KATYA continues to evolve as an artist and young woman, she does so with a true commitment to telling her story, her way.

Stacy Campbell Marshall Founder of the SCMarshall Group

Her referral only concierge company curates blow away experiences for her high-end clients, in the form of planned vacations, property management, personal shopping, event planning and anything else they need to make their time in her beloved Bahamian paradise, well spent! One of her many strengths is a true passion for relationship building and her unique way of finding a common thread with anyone she meets. Stay tuned, because this Fall, Stacy will expand her brand and be the Host of, “What’s Trending!” a talk show on the newly re-launched ZNS Network!

Stacy is the founder of the SCMarshall Group, which includes her lifestyle brand - “Day In The Life of an Island Wife,” Sweet Mouth and Luxcierge. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications & Public Relations from Washington Adventist University, a Certificate of Hospitality & Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University and many other certifications in Leadership, Operations and Customer Service.

Sapphire - J Spoken Word Poet Sapphire-J Incorporated is comprised of the Entrepreneur, Author, Spoken Word Artist, Christian Life Coach, Fine Arts Facilitator, Motivational Speaker and Nation Builder. Léshea Jones aka ‘Sapphire-J’ was born in Nassau, Bahamas on the 26th of July 1988. She later relocated to the island of Grand Bahama in 1994 where she received her schooling. Sapphire-J discovered her talent and passion for writing poetry at the age of 13 which is when she also gave her life to Christ and committed to being a faithful servant in His vineyard.

Her talent and passion for writing played a significant role in motivating her to publish her first book of poetry “Wait! I Have Something to Say”. After some years she was led to release her first official Memoir “Rejecting Rejection” which will be released in Fall 2023 accompanied by her first album “Pen & Tongue”. Sapphire-J strives to ensure that each piece of work that she produces is different by adding a touch of her unique flair. One of her main goals is to allow her creativity to always be expressed through her various works. She also possesses a passion for song writing.

DJ Melody DJ Dearsharay Brown, better known as “DJj Melody” was born August 15th ,1998 in New Providence but she moved to the island of Eleuthera and Abaco throughout her younger years.

“Melody” as she is usually called, started her DJ career in high school playing at small class parties with just a laptop and speakers. Her DJ career took off when she moved to Nassau for college and her life has not been the same ever since. Melody has been a disc jockey for 5 years and she does not look to quit now!

She exploded on social media after a live broadcast was released of her playing on a local radio station and she has now secured a radio gig on 103.5 The Beat as one of the few female DJs on the airwaves here in The Bahamas.

DJ Melody has been working on bettering her craft and as time and technology evolves so does she. Melody has surely been noticed as one of the most successful female DJs here in The Bahamas. She has traveled both domestically and internationally to display her craft and it is just the beginning for this young aspiring DJ. Her overall goal is to be remembered because of her skills, personality and hard work. She hopes to become one of the most creative DJs that The Bahamas has to offer and take her brand on an International scale.

Charisa Smith Performer

Charisa Patrice Smith was born in the beautiful island of New Providence on January 21st, 1995. She brought great joy to her parents Pastors Dion and Patrice Smith, and her entire family.

Charisa blossomed and excelled in every area of her life, and her love for singing and music was quickly recognized. Throughout her pre-school and elementary school years at Faith Temple Christian Academy, Charisa not only became one of the faces of academic excellence, but she became one of the academy’s most prominent vocal talents.

Her love and passion for music and art pushed her to enter many competitions, and in most of them she would emerge as the winner.

One such competition was the ADISA Awards, which showcased and awarded ‘Outstanding Youth in the Arts’ throughout the entire Bahamas. Charisa entered the Contemporary solo category and won!

This was the impetus that lead her to audition for the Bahamas National Youth Choir. She was excited to find out that her first audition was successful, and after receiving a call from the director and founder of the choir, the late Mr. Cleophas R.E. Adderley, she could be heard singing and shouting throughout her parent’s home. The choir was an integral part of her life, and she enjoyed the comradery, concerts, travel opportunities and friendships gained.

At The University of The Bahamas she met and became a part of the Jam Session Band led by Shon Pennerman also known as “Shon P” for two and a half years. On March 2017, Charisa decided to write and record her first single “All Mine” featuring Shon P. The song grew popular here locally and later got her two Elevation Award nominations.

In present time, Charisa is a thriving recording artist and professional singer at the Jazz Bar, in the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Baha Mar with the Essence Band. She wants those who are able to experience her magic to feel every song that she sings, and for their lives to be changed forever.

Abby Smith Artist A trailblazer in her own right, Abby set her mark on the art landscape having led the Art Department at Aquinas College with unparalleled passion and dedication and conceived and executed impactful outreach initiatives at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas (NAGB).

Employing her artistic prowess to make an impact, Abby takes pride in empowering young minds at the Grand Bahama Children’s Home, Willie Mae Pratt Centre for Girls, and the Simpson Penn Centre for Boys. As the proud owner of Abby The Artiste Creative Studio, she continues to make a mark in the industry, unlocking imagination and creativity. Not only does Abby boast numerous prestigious awards in both visual arts and community service, notably from The Central Bank of The Bahamas and Character Day Bahamas, she was selected as a Golden Jubilee Award recipient of the “ 50 Under 40 Most Influential and Successful Professionals in The Bahamas’’ hosted by Professional Services Bahamas in July 2023. This cohort consisted of exceptional individuals who are “movers and shakers” in the public and private sectors influencing economic growth of The Bahamas. Abby is also a proud member of the esteemed Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Abby is now embracing the mesmerizing world of cultural affairs, holding a pivotal position as a Cultural Affairs Officer for Visual Arts and Photography with the Division of Cultural Affairs at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.

Abby Smith is an indomitable force in both the art world and her community! #iNSPIRE HER Mural Concept/Inspiration My design concept is inspired by the notion of empowerment and engagement through solidarity. The inspiration behind the visual derives from the following: “Hear me as a woman./Have me as your sister./On purpled battlefield breaking day,/So I might say our victory is just beginning,/See me as change,/Say I am movement,/That I am the year,/and I am the era/of the women.”- Amanda Gorman This visual concept abstractly but intrinsically seeks to inspire courage to stand in your own light and own your uniqueness, in thought and action with unwavering ambition and zeal. To inspire women to delight in our successes, encourage constant gratification in our gender and to ALWAYS fix each other’s crowns. Using vibrant colors and imagery coupled with the #iNSPIREHER color palette, I wish for attendees to create with me by adding words/phrases of affirmation/encouragement and solidify their support of sharing our victories by participating in a collaborative mural that celebrates women empowerment.

LaSonya A. Missick Managing Director, RBC Royal Bank LaSonya is the Managing Director and Vice President of Personal Banking and FINCO for RBC Royal Bank, Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands. The Managing Director is the face of the bank and leader responsible for all governance and regulatory matters. In her dual role as Vice President of Personal Banking, she is responsible for leading the eleven RBC branches in The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands. LaSonya has led this group of branches over the past five years, focusing on delivering an excellent banking experience to our clients while also helping to achieve the bank’s business performance goals.

LaSonya has twenty-nine years of banking experience. Among her previous roles, she was the Director of Human Resources for Scotiabank, Northern Caribbean responsible for HR governance, people strategy and leadership deployment across four countries. She has a depth of Retail Banking knowledge, having held positions such as Senior Branch Manager for Scotiabank’s largest retail operation in The Bahamas, not to mention she was the first female to hold this position and now the first female to hold the position of Managing Director RBC Royal Bank (Bahamas) Limited.

LaSonya started her banking career as a part-time teller in 1994. She progressed through more senior positions including Personal Banking Officer, Assistant Manager Personal Banking, Assistant Manager Small Business, Manager Personal Banking, and multiple Branch Manager roles prior to her cross-functional leadership assignment in Human Resources. LaSonya’s proven success in leadership, sales management, and her exemplary record of people development has given her a unique business perspective. As a bank executive, she has been responsible for implementing strategic initiatives, building high employee engagement and bringing to life the vision of digital enablement as the future of banking for Bahamians.

LaSonya has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool and a Master’s Certificate in Sales Leadership from Schulich School of Business, York University. LaSonya is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). She is a Director on the boards of RBC Royal Bank, RBC FINCO, Safeguard Insurance and the former Chair of the Bahamas Automated Clearing House and the Bahamas Clearing Banks Association.

LaSonya is a passionate and accomplished banker who has been happily married to Bruce for the past 25 years. Their family includes their son Trinard, who is currently attending university, and their daughter Amarrah, who is in the 11th grade of high school.

Aneesah Abdullah UN Country Coordinator

Aneesah Abdullah is the United Nations Country Coordination Officer for The Bahamas (attached to the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Multi-Country Office in Jamaica) where she plays a catalytic role for integrated and coordinated cooperation of the UN system in country.

Aneesah plays a key role in ensuring that UN is aligned with the government’s priorities, the SAMOA Pathway, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In this outposted capacity, she supports the RC’s function in, among other areas, strategic planning, partnerships development and programming. She is also the human rights focal point in The Bahamas for the office.

Prior to joining the UN, Aneesah worked in the Bahamian civil service for nearly six years – the first three years in the Department of Gender and Family Affairs/Bureau of Women’s Affairs, then three as the colead of the Sustainable Development Goals Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister. She previously served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of The Bahamas – where she remains a part of the adjunct faculty pool. She holds a BA in Public Administration from the College of The Bahamas (now UB), an MA in Human Rights from the University of London, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Global Inclusion and Social Development at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Aneesah is deeply interested in good governance, human rights, and gender equality as key components for sustainable, inclusive national development.

Natural Empress Talk Show Host The Natural Empress is no stranger to the world of entertainment! Beginning her career in the industry as a touring musician, she has shared the stage with artist such as Lauryn Hill and Roberta Flack and also, background vocalist for the likes of The Wailers, Buju Banton and Maxi Priest to name a few.

In 2002, she made the leap into radio with Cool 96 in her hometown of Freeport, Grand Bahama. By the time she moved to Nassau to work at 100 Jamz in 2006, Empress’s popular talk show “Free Ya Mind”, had basically made her a household name. In 2013, she joined the Hot 91.7FM family and continued making waves with the show. In April of 2017, she joined The Guardian Talk Radio Station 96.9FM, then onto Star 106FM from 2019 until present. Further taking the show to higher heights where she switches between the many hats she wears, which include relationship counselor, mediator, spin doctor and entertainer.

Over the years, she has formed strong connections with many of her loyal listeners, callers and viewers. Because of her effervescent personality, she is one of the most sough-after hosts for location remotes, events and is also the voice of many popular radio ads. The “Natural One” is also the owner of a chain of full-fledged juice bars in new providence called Juicin For Life. A proud mother to 25 year old Amlak and 11 year old Soleil. She strives to live by example and exhibit the strong regal qualities that her name implies.

Odetta Morton CEO Deltec Bank Odetta Morton is the Chief Executive Officer of Deltec Bank and Trust Limited and Director of Deltec International Group. Odetta has been a key player in the growth and development of Deltec over the past 18 years.

Odetta began her career in the audit and assurance practice of Deloitte and forensic accounting with Kroll Lindquist Avey in Atlanta, Georgia before joining Deltec Bank in 2003. Throughout her tenure, Odetta has been instrumental in driving the Bank’s strategic vision, building partner and client relationships, and introducing service offerings and expanded distribution channels for global clients and emerging segments.

Odetta was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2014 and subsequently Chief Executive Officer in 2019. Odetta is a Certified Public Accountant, member of the American Institute of CPAs, Director of The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce & Employers Confederation and serves as Co-Chairperson of The Bahamas’ Ease of Doing Business Committee.

Active in the local community, Odetta also serves as Director of the Deltec Initiatives Foundation, Chairperson of The Bahamas Hurricane Restoration Fund, and the Deltec Cares Foundation.
